I installed it but it doesn't pump water from our canal which is roughly 150 yards from the pump. Is it too small?

I have the same situation out of a pond with no problem. did you fully prime the pump? you could be sucking air some where in your piping or your pickup screen is full of mud packed solid. I think it is a great pump.

The pump will only build pressure to 30 pounds. What's up with that?

I'd like to know myself ! Flow is excellent but if pump runs with all valves shut - pump will not exceed 30 psi as you say. I wonder if there's some sort of internal "spring safety valve" that pops open when 30 psi pressure is reached and then water just free-flows around inside pump ? My "new" set-up shuts power off to pump at end of final sprinkler zone whereas before the increased pressure would do this when last zone ended. Very odd. I might call Gould to get explanation. Been tied up with other things - as are we all !

Trying to use this pump for irrigating greenhouse, will it work with 15 psi irrigation tapes? will installing pressure regulator cause back pressure?

Hello, on demand is dependent on the irrigation controller and solenoid valves. This pump can work with with those components.
