Reading the reviews, these are either amazing or the worst ever and leave tons of lint. how can the difference between reviews be so big?

I fully agree with Jack’s and Dean’s answers to your question. No matter what they will initially “shed” and leave a considerable amount of lint in the dryer but that is only the first few times you wash and dry them. Regardless, they are absolutely the best microfiber towel for washing my truck, especially since it’s ceramic coated and there’s nothing about the towel that will scratch my finish.

Are these Chinese made?

The packaging did not indicate origin when I received them or I possibly missed it. Reviews I read stated they were Chinese made.

Can these fit onto a swiffer mop?

If it's the type where you put the mop on top of it and then push the fabric in the slot. There are so many models out there. They are a decent size and would probably work. They might be a bit on the thick side. They are definitely a good quality towel. Good luck!

Can I use laundry pods to wash these?

You can but "free and clear" laundry detergent or microfiber specific laundry detergent will get you way better results. Regular laundry detergent has built in fragrance and softeners. The fragrance leaves residue on the towels causing streaking and the softener will make it so the towel doesn't absorb like it should, It makes the towel more water resistant like. So yes you can but the towel wont perform as good. Also if you combine microfiber towels and anything cotton in the washer or dryer the microfiber towels will be covered in lint so try and wash microfiber towels with only other microfiber towels. Also #2.... dry on low heat with no fabric sheet.
