Marilyn Faye's U-Shaped Crinkled Hair Pins (Set of 12) (3 inch, Black)

These pins are sturdy! I had great pins in the 60’s, but recent pins have been too weak to contain my long hair. These pins are like my old ones. They are strong enough to hold my long hair. . They come in a variety of lengths which is awesome and in amazing colors. I bought both blond and bright pink; it’s fun to have a flash of pink peeking out of my bun. I was asked if these were “sheer” or if they “stretch”. Those would be odd characteristics for hair pins. They are of a strong enough gauge to do their job and flexible as a sturdy hair pin should be. I’ve bought 2 sets and will be buying more.

I can't recommend these highly enough. I've started wearing my hair in a bun pretty much every day. At first I used bobby pins to hold it up, but bobby pins tend to hold my bun flat to my head - and I needed to use a ton to secure the bun. Then I found 6 2” Goody hairpins in my stash. They were light and too short to do a proper job, but still better than the bobby pin. THEN I found these. They are my holy grail hairpins. They are sturdy, thick and the extra half-inch makes it so that I only need 5 pins to hold my bun ALL DAY. What I love the most is that I like a bit of a "messy bun," so I'm able to go in after pinning to squish and mess it up a bit without dislodging the bun. It's totally secure but not headache-tight. I love them so much that I've ordered the 3" pins, so as my hair gets longer, I'll be ready! :-D

I have baby fine thin hair. Blonde. I have bought and tried every king of thing to hold my hair. EVERYTHING slips out, pulls, droops, Ad nauseum. THIS PRODUCT IS AWESOME. Just one pin-one-I twisted my hair up stuck in this pin. It has stained in all day. Its comfortable. Looks so pretty. And its actually blonde and matches my hair! Magic! Looking at these well made smooth pins I have suddenly remembered my grandmother’s hairpins. Now my grandmother was an elegant lady of the Gibson Girl era. All her life she wore her baby fine hair piled on top of her head, held only with pins like these. I now realize these pins were part of her magic. Wow. Thanks to whover invented these!!!

These pins are exactly like what I wanted. However, since they are so thick and sturdy, it makes them really heavy on your head. But you don't have to use many because they are so sturdy. I didn't think about that when I ordered them. But I am still happy to get them and who knows, maybe since they are so thick, it probably takes less pins to hold up my thick long hair. This is the forth package I've ordered, since I take my hair down, where ever and lose track of where I left them. I have used these pins a month now and find them to be wonderful. I have since ordered 2 more packages of them because I have a bad habit of taking them off and leaving them lying anywhere. So, I have just ordered more. I was worried about their weight in my hair. But practicing with them, I figured out how to use them, so as to only need 3 to hold up my heavy, thick long hair. They are truly a great asset to my hair products. You can put your hair up wet, and they hold so good, your hair is still damp the next day. This is important because then I don't need to use the hair dryer to damage my hair. And an updo of wet hair twisted in a bun looks elegant, especially with some post earrings.

I wear mini braids a lot. The end of a rat tail comb is too wide to help me take them out, Bobby pins snag, and needles hurt my fingers. This is a great size to help me take my mini braids out. The ends are pointy enough to get into the braid and dull enough not to stab me in the fingers. They are also great for scratching your scalp. Sorry if that last part is weird for you but the girls who get it, get it.

I have chunky, medium to small locs and regular pins cannot handle the density. These pins are thick, non coated and have dull ends that are uncapped. Thus, I dont have to worry about my pins being distorted once I remove them rendering them useless. Next, since they aren't coated I don't have to worry about them becoming silver and trying to shove them deeper in my hair to camaflauge them. Lastly, the blunt uncapped ends ensure that I don't ever have the displeasure of scratching the f$<k out of my scalp when I unknowingly shove one in to secure my hair. Also, I think the length of these contribute to me having to use less for an up do. I used 7 of the 12 to pin 90% of my hair up, leaving my bangs to hang. A+ in my book for people with very thick and or curly hair. Will be purchasing other sizes. Worth the extra dough. 😊

I bought these back in early 2019, and I'm finally ordering another set, but only because my cats have squirreled them away someplace where I can't find them. Anyone who says they don't hold probably are trying to use them like bobbie pins. I have long, heavy, and very fine/slippery hair, and I only need two or three to make my hair completely immovable all day. The fact that they don't have a little ball on the end makes them go in and come out more easily, and they've never poked me or pulled my hair even once. The brown is perfect for my hair color (medium brown with a red undertone), and the only thing I'd change is to make them less delectable to my cats!

I haven’t used this exact product yet but I assume it will work well. However I ordered 2 sets of 12. One set came fine -the other set came with open packaging and only 11 instead of 12 hair pins. Not sure if these were used and then returned them. Very disappointed.

These are perfect for extra long, straight hair which won't stay up. Black pins that actually don't bend and stay straight. I've bought others which claim to hold any kind of hair through any kind of activity but these now take the crown for best performance and quality. Tips of the pins are smoothed so they won't scratch your scalp. I've already bought another packet!

Clips are quite big..best for thick hair..won’t hold fine hair.
