Buff Buffer
Buffer performs very well. Bought to clean decades-old tarnish off my dead grandmother's wedding silverware. I was pleased that it came with the extra wheels and the buffing compounds. Only drawback is the lint and dust generated during operation. I made the mistake of using this on my kitchen table and it got strings, lint, dust, and other crumbs EVERYWHERE. Recommend using in garage or outside, especially during first use. I expect much less strings to fly off in subsequent uses.

Transformed into a stone working tool.
I transformed it into a stone working tool using urethane wheels with belts and covers, with water drip. It more than meets my expectations in such. It is a far less expensive solution for the limited work cutting and polishing stones I do to support my wife's hobby making jewelry. I have not experienced anything in using it that is disappointing or negative.

Great, but bring your own wheels
I've found this to be perfect for my needs. It's surprisingly quiet and really doesn't vibrate much. I run mine with a leather stropping wheel and a thick cotton wheel for keeping my carving tools sharp and it works great. Do pick up your own wheels for this; the ones that come with it won't last long.

A well made machine
This Powertec 8-inch bench buffer is better than expected. My past experience with grinders & buffers has been poor performance. This unit was a pleasant surprise. It is quiet, balanced, has a great fit and finish and does not move around the bench top when being used. The packaging was done well and the provided buffing wheels were fine for my initial jobs.

Excellent Machine!
Bought this early 2024 and the shaft size is 5/8" which matches the description. Another review said their machine was a different size and I almost didn't buy this because of their feedback. Apparently the company fixed the issue and are sending the correct item. It runs smooth and seems well-made. I use it for polishing knives and it works really well. I also have a 6" leather stropping wheel that I run in one side and it also works fantastic. Definitely recommend this if you are looking for a lower speed buffer.

Beware of odd arbor threads
The polisher is advertised as having 5/8” arbor, which would make one assume that the threads at the ends of the arbor rod are 5/8-11, e.g., a very common thread for various grinding and polishing attachments. The actual threads on the polisher are odd M16 2.0, which are close to 5/8-11 in diameter, but obviously are not compatible with any of the 5/8-11 attachments. I was purchasing this to use with hook and loop 5/8-11 disc pads. The description should’ve clearly stated that the threads are M16 2.0 or at least said that the arbor is M16

Knife Buffer
This is a very good product for the money. I use it weekly for putting a mirror finish on the knife blade. The slower 1750 RPM motor does not create heat like a higher turning motor.

Works great
I’m sorry some people had a problem with this buffer. I took it out of the box without thinking I “just in case” threw the box away put it on my bench and it’s been working great I’ve cleaned and shined up one knife so far and it’s working really bitching. Woody
