If you do not know if you have Hashimoto's, your doctor can check your antibody levels....it is worth checking as this is one of the main causes of hypothyroidism. Generally doctors do not treat this but the bible cure book on autoimmune diseases can give you some advice on natural things you can do to help your system.

I found one vital piece of info in this book that has had a great impact on my well being and that's a successful read. For those interested, it was that milk interacts with thyroid medication, so stopped drinking my Milo (milk drink) first thing every morning and it has made a huge impact on my energy levels, I don't feel bloated and tired all of the time now. Stopping this drink also made me realize how gluten intolerant I was.

I highly recommend this book
I purchased this book in 2004 from a local Christian book store. Prior to reading it I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and had all the symptoms. I was on a thyroid medication. I do not like taking medicine and truly believe that because of prayer, God lead me to this book (to Dr Colbert) in a TV show. I read the book, talked to my doctor about it, began doing what Dr Colbert recommended and together with the help of my doctor I was able to SAFELY stop taking the medicine. She (my doctor) did blood lab tests at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months after doing what I read in the book and every test came back normal. She then put me back on a routine annual schedule of testing in 2005. I have had three doctors since then and year after year my levels are normal thank God. I highly recommend this book.

Decent Information
It was helpful and encouraging and a good reminder of who is the ultimate healer but also good recommendations to helpfu supplements for those with hyper or hypo-thyroid! Good read!

Blessed by Bible Cure for Thyroid conditions.
This is a highly informative book, explaining in easy to read language the condition of thyroid disorder, as well as dietary and medical treatments. Best of all, it includes prayers as you read along. God is the true healer and we are reminded of that as we read along. This book is a blessing to me.

Not much use
If I lived the life that the author suggests then I would be complexly bound and stifled by what I eat or drink. This is typical Christian talk; claim the freedom of Christ then live the life of strict religion! Being a healthcare professional I must say there is some merit in what is written but in an academic sense not in a freedom in Christ sense. Like lots of other so called servants of God he is making money out of his knowledge or even revelation. How will this be accounted for at the judgement seat of Christ for deeds done in the body?
