Are these dishwasher safe?

YES they are. What's NOT safe is ANY dishwasher pod with a so-called dissolvable clear plastic wrapper.....these will gum-up the inner workings of the dishwasher over time and cause problems. Just ask dishwasher installers and repairmen!!

Are these the newer style that have the clear wrappers that dissolve in the dishwasher rather than the ones you have to open yourself?

I really like that they are individually wrapped! They don’t stick together like the gel ones. Just open the small foil wrapped and pop the individual pod in the dishwasher then throw the foil wrapper away! So easy and cleans dish well! I have been using these for years!

pod dimension?. "fat" pods often stick dispenser door shut, so soap never makes it into machine. i need thickness and side of pod in inches.

Do I need to also use a drying agent with these?

Using Finish Powerball Tabs will provide better results than using a detergent alone. However, due to varying water conditions some people will achieve better results by using an additional rinse agent during the rinse cycle.
