KitchenRaku 2Pcs Silicone Induction (Magnetic) Hob Protector Mat, 24cm

These are great items that work perfectly.

This is the second one I have purchased for a new induction hob I purchased a couple of years ago which has kept my hob like new! I find it very easy to clean but I do clean it each time I use the hob with just a good all purpose spray and kitchen towel, then I clean the hob underneath now and again depending on the usage on top. This time around, unlike the last time, I am rotating it so it doesn't get so worn in the same spots as I tend to use the front two hob rings more. I do highly recommend it, but also recommend you wipe it virtually each time you use it, that way cooking splashes etc don't get too difficult to clean off. It is very sturdy and the quality is good.

good quality hob protectors very effective for keeping hob clean and scratch-free they do discolour over time though

I have purchased this induction hob protector several times before and was always very happy with the quality. Unfortunately, my most recent purchase has been extremely disappointing. The mat is now noticeably thinner and seems to be made from a completely different material. It does not sit properly or lie flat on the hob like the previous ones did. Even worse, after only one week of use, there are already marks from frying pans that are impossible to clean off. Previously, these mats would last me around six months and remained in good condition, which is why I kept buying the same product. The difference in quality with this latest one is very noticeable. I don't know what has changed — perhaps the supplier or the material — but unfortunately, the current version is no longer practical or good quality. Very disappointing, especially as this used to be a product I could rely on.

Brilliant for covering the hob , cooking through it . Not that easy to wipe but the advantages of keeping the hob pristine far outweigh any disadvantages

For reference; my induction hob is atop my BEKO BD16C65K cooker, and this mat cost me £35.71. I bought this for the advertised translucency and nearly sent it back upon discovering that it blocks maybe 80% of light, so although technically translucent, there's no practical benefit allowing the subtle markings etched on my cooker's hob to be visible through it. If your hob has very high contrast markings and you have very bright lights in your kitchen, or if the markings are actually emitting light, you might be able to see something through it. Why this matters; induction hobs and cookware should be well matched and aligned for good results. A small pan on a large ring, a large pan on a small ring or any pan not properly aligned with any ring is not ideal, so seeing the ring markings on the hob is desirable. I searched for more translucent, or preferably transparent options and found none before getting tired of scrolling through pages of the things, so kept this as it functions no differently to the non-translucent options. I solved the problem of not being able to see where the rings are, by cutting the mat such that a segment of each of the rings' edge is echoed by the mat, while maintaining as much protection for the hob glass as practically possible (see image). With other functionality in mind: 1) it does give real protection to the hob glass and seems to have no effect on the efficiency of the hob, so that's great. 2) the touch controls of my hob can be operated through the mat, and the segmented LED display is actually just about visible, although I can't see the etched markings for the buttons around the LED display, so that's really not helpful, so I cut that section out (see image). 3) it's very grippy, which keeps pans practically glued in place, but also grabs and holds onto every tiny spec of dust floating near it. It can be wiped with a damp cloth to keep it reasonably clear, but let it air dry, since wiping it with a dry towel will render it practically furry! A thorough cleaning is easy with dish soap and water but air drying is essential to avoid the fur. 4) it arrived folded and vacuum packed, so I doubt the kinks will ever fully disappear. It does however lie flat enough (not perfectly) to forgive that. Other orders may be packed differently. Summary: unless (as mentioned above) your hob has very bright markings, I would suggest ignoring the translucency aspect of this mat, and therefore maybe find a cheaper non-translucent alternative that will do the same job in all other respects.

Bought these to sit on top of our new induction hob. First time we have had an induction hob and I was finding that pans were moving about on the glass surface and I was worried about scratches etc. It was also difficult to stir contents etc due to things constantly sliding about! These do what they say they will, there is no noticeable loss of heat coming through to the pan and they absolutely stop pans moving about. Very east to clean as well. In summary, probably not the cheapest but I'm so glad I got them.

This was perfect for my new hob has kept it scratch free. It's easy to roll up and store away as i only use it when I'm cooking. I bought in June 23 and have used it everyday near enough, it has lasted well, only now August 24 in one spot started to disintegrate so I cut it away the rest is still usable until I can order a new one. So am buying this again as hobb still looks like new.

Simple cute and works great to protect the new glass top induction stove top!

If you have an induction stove, buy one of these. Keeps the top of stove protected and is easy to clean. Love it.
