A strange tale with an extremely thought-provoking twist. Very difficult to comprehend how someone would think it ok. Good read.

More and more gruesome
I have read of the books in this series, and whilst i enjoyed the characters, Bethany and her team, it seems that with every book, Emmy is trying to outdo herself with increasingly gruesome killings and bizarre behaviours of the murderers. Reading this book, i thought "oh no. Here we go again,how does she think up such horrible scenarios". Apart from that, i thought the story line was weak and had holes in it, just a vehicle to describe more macabre behaviour.

This author comes up with some amazing stories. Keeps you totally gripped throughout. Brilliant story teller can't wait to read the next book

A tad icky in places
Oh my GOD!!! Where on earth does Emmy get these ideas from?? I was nearly sick at one point reading this but hell did I have to keep going......

Gripping thriller
Yet another gruesome read in this fabulous series. People are stealing babies to order. An uncomfortable read for many I would imagine but then, this author always has a knack of pushing the boundaries. A fake adoption agency could hold the key to unlock this mystery. Oh and those who love rats... may want to skip a few pages. 😀

Thrilling!
This novel, like all of Ms Ellis work, kept me on the edge of my seat, gasping, squirming and whipping through the pages. If you love a good gruesome murder mystery, with great detective characters, don't miss Blood of the Raven!

From Vacation Straight Into Death By An Evil Mind
DI Bethany Smith is back to work, and immediately in a crazy situation with stolen babies and murder! A woman is dead, slashed about with a knife, her innocent child missing, a rat with it's head bitten off by her side...A couple of old buddies are running an 'adoption' racket, taking babies from their mom's and giving them to women seeking a child, for money,of course! Things start to get sticky when one girl they hire to help takes things into her own hands, bringing a baby She found, after killing the mom. She is a little off, they have never killed before, and her actions put fear into the other three in the group. We see her early life, what has made her into who she is now..and it is evil, horrific and not for any sane being!! Another interesting story by this author that lets you delve into places most of us have never dreamed of!!!

The shear insanity of this book, the gore and disgusting happenings kept it fast paced and hard to put down! I really liked Bethany and Tracy getting together on this evil case. But seriously, who comes up with this sick stuff! On to the last one in the series!

the rats really freaked me out. but a good book. cant wait for the next in the series. you have a good and weird imagination.
