Remote Control Motorized Double Drapery Curtain Track Set – Aluminum – 20 to 122 inch

Had to take a minute to write this review. I’m super busy so seldom have time, but I’m very happy with this METechs product and the customer service. I have high ceilings, resulting in my draperies 108” long. The sliding glass door I was installing them on is very wide. Before the motorized system the curtains were the rod pocket type. Due to the width and length on these curtains they were heavy. When I would try to pull them open or closed it was always a battle. I bought the motorized double-drapery system for my sheer drapery and blackout curtains. The quality of the materials is excellent and appear to be exceptionally durable. The drapery system was delivered on the promised date, undamaged. I’ve never installed curtain rods, so the assembly was a little challenging at first, but the instructions are thorough and have decent illustrations. Once you understand how the track and wires work and get the tension right, the rest is a standard curtain rod installation. During installation I broke one of the mounting clips (totally my fault). I used the ’Contact Vendor’ feature on Amazon and got a quick response offering to ship me one at no charge except for postage. I had already bought a replacement on the Metech website for a few $$, but I appreciate them offering. Once installation was complete, the system runs perfectly. The motor seems very robust and I quickly got spoiled by being able to quickly adjust those drapes depending on the angle of the sun without leaving where I was sitting. One of my favorite features is the multi-unit control remote, which can run up to eight separate tracks. The remote is well labeled and intuitive to use. I love not having a separate remote for each track. Within a few days I decide to buy a third single system for my kitchen curtains along the same wall. This installation went very quickly now that I’m a seasoned installation expert. (LOL) This unit needed to be trimmed to fit. This too was super easy, though it was not address in the instructions. The drive motors are a little loud. I don’t know what industry standard is if it exists, but that’s the only way METech could improve this product if it’s even possible. Don’t read this as saying the motors are LOUD. It’s just the only thing I noticed that might be improved. All said, I am super happy with the product, shipping and customer service.
