Patina for zinc
I ordered this product and it didn’t work. After following the instructions on how to prepare my work, it left streaks and didn’t cover as it should have. I tried to return it. The seller sent instructions that included a 15-50% restock fee. I would of had to pay shipping to return it. By that time it probably would have cost me more than I spent to return a defective product. When I went back into Amazon it just says eligible for return, refund, or replacement within 30 days. I didn’t see all the return instructions ahead of time or I never would have ordered it.

Only one that really works and is truly black
Tried several other products that say they will make zinc black but they never are truly black. This one works but you need to prep well by cleaning the zinc with a scrubbing pad(red is what we use) and then cleaning with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. Apply with a clean Q-tip and allow to stand on the zinc for a while.Dabbing on seems to work best, not rubbing on. Blot with a clean paper towel and allow to dry for several hours before you rub with a cloth or do any cleaning. Touch up as needed. It's best to patina any lead first as this does not black lead. You can go back over the lead (using the patina for it) after you use this but it may not darken totally. After this is dry you can clean and finish the stained glass and it will not come off.
