How long are these sections and can they be connected together for external lenghts?

The sections are 39 3/4" long. The ends are designed to slide together to allow for long lengths.

Can this be used for old construction or new only

I used it for a new drainage project. I would guess that it could be used for an existing system as long as you could connect to the 4" discharge port on the end of the unit
