Right Track Toys Wood Train Track Garage: Fits 5 Cars

This was the perfect addition to our KidKraft train table. It houses five trains but doesn't seem to take up an enormous amount of space. Yes, we do have to sacrifice some of the "real estate" to house this thing, but my kid gets a kick out of backing the trains in so they can "sleep" :) I'm not really sure why this comes in two pieces because I can't imagine you'd use them separately but maybe there is a purpose that I'm not aware of. We've only had this for a few days, so I can't comment on longevity, but it seems sturdy and well made. As a sidenote: this garage fits smaller trains perfectly, but longer trains will stick out a bit. We have several Thomas wooden trains, and the engines without tenders seem to be what this garage is made for (like Thomas, Percy, Victor, Diesel, etc.), but Henry, James, Emily and the like all stick out. This doesn't seem to be an issue if you only have one or two of the longer trains in there, but any more than that you will have a hard time getting them all out by rolling on the track.

This garage/train shed is SO awesome! Excellent craftsmanship, sturdy and a great price. In fact, my little boy (3) wanted the Thomas and Friends sheds so bad, I was actually thinking about spending $150 for it! When I saw this one for a fraction of the price, it truly made my day! I was able to buy it without breaking my budget and my little guy loves it just the same. Compatible with Thomas Wooden Railway trains and wood tracks. thank you so much for making AFFORDABLE, QUALITY products.

I don't know why people have complained that this isn't sturdy. If you expect your 60 pound child to stand on this then this is Not the product for you. Don't buy it. However, if you have reasonable children who don't stand on their toys and love trains, this is a great set. It is compatible with most major traffic sets and fits perfectly.

My son loves to play with the Thomas train track at Barnes & Noble's, in particular the roundhouse. I went on a quick online search for something suitable that didn't cost an arm and a leg....I love what we found. Pros -compatible with all other brand train tracks and trains, including Thomas, IKEA, Brio, Chuggington (we've got a big hodge podge). -seamlessly connects the 5 track to the roundhouse, and also turntable if desired -uniform grooves that stop just before the edge of the roundhouse (nice alternative to doors, which the others have) -ALL trains, even Chuggington biggies, fit inside the roundhouse (it's about 10 cm). -colorfully painted and detailed windows and doors painted on -even though it's some type of composite material it's very sturdy....really looks like wood Cons -non love this....

This is an awesome product! The parking spaces are long enough to fit the longest trains (e.g., Gordon, Henry, Hiro; without their tenders, of course) which tells me this product was designed well. The base (track) appears to be an engineered wood product (particle board sandwiched between two pieces of natural wood). It is a nice quality piece of engineered wood, and I am not at all concerned about it not being made from natural/solid wood. The roof, and sides are painted, so it is difficult to tell if they are natural/solid or engineered wood. Four screws are used to attach the base and roof to the outermost sides. It is sturdy and well built, and I suspect it will last a long time. It is compatible with our Thomas branded trains, train track, and our generic track. This is a winner in my book, and I would happily buy it again.

My son loved this and I loved the price but the part that attaches to the tracks is definitely not wood it broke and we have tried repairing but no luck any way to get a replacement?

Only one day in so can't comment on longevity. As many have already noted in their reviews the tracks are not real wood but some kind of composite material. But I think it was totally worth what we spent on it. My son LOVES having a roundhouse for his really useful engines to sleep in. The construction appears pretty sturdy so as long as you take care of it and don't abuse the product it will probably be o.k. I'll report back in 6 months or if the roundhouse falls apart.

This was a present for my son. He loves trains and we purchased a small wooden train set for him a few months ago. This fits perfect with his current train set. He was so excited when we took it out of the package. The garages are as deep as one long wooden train/locomotive. It only connects in the front but comes with a great piece to help branch off to other tracks. Well made, all wood. We also purchased another package of track and now he has a whole town to play trains with. If you have a train lover this is a great add on.
