¿Dónde está el ombliguito? Un libro para levantar la tapita por Karen Katz

My son loves all of Karen Katz's books but this one is by far his favorite! My son loves helping me pull down the flaps and gets excited every single time. It's also a great way to teach him Spanish, as we are a bilingual family. I love, love, love this book and will buy over and over. I highly recommend this book (or any Karen Katz book for that matter) Buy it for your children, your friends,co-workers...you won't regret it.

As anyone with experience buying translated books knows, these things can be hit or miss. There's minimal text in this book and it's all fine. Uses "las manitas" where some might say "las manitos" to rhyme with "las burbujitas", but that's one of those regional things that there's no way around except to read it however you say it. Language stuff aside, this is a cute book. It's a fun way of teaching parts of the body, and the children in the illustrations are from different ethnic backgrounds so most will see a body that looks like their own on at least one page.

This is my son's FAVORITE book. He's 8 months old and we've had it for a little while now and he loves it. We read it almost every day. He knows exactly how to lift all the flaps and smiles every time we pull it out. It's a simple lift-the-flap, where's this body part book, but it's perfect for his age. I think the big faces and bright colors are especially appealing. We are also happy it's in Spanish.

My daughter is 18 months old and I bought this book to help her learn the name on different body parts. The book is fun and colorful and she loves to flip through it with me or by herself. I love that this book is sold in english and spanish. I bought the spanish one as I am trying to teach her as much as I can.

I just ordered this book for my 20 month old son. I am trying my hardest to make sure he learns Spanish and keeps it. He already knows his eyes, ears, nose, mouth, shoulders, knees, head and toes in English so I hoped this book would get him to learn the names of those body parts in Spanish. Its a good book but it is missing alot of important body parts. This book only teaches los ojitos (eyes), la boquita (mouth), el ombliguito (belly which me and my husband teach him pansa for belly so he is now totally confused), los piececitos (feet),las manitas (hands), and the last page is Donde esta mi bebe (where is my baby) which I thought wasnt needed. So I like this book I just wish it included more body parts.

My daughter loves this book, around 12 months old. She loves to lift the flaps, point to various body parts, and we play "peekaboo" on the last page (Donde esta mi bebe? Alli esta!"). In reference to other comments: Yes, every page uses the -ito ending, but that is easy to drop when reading this out loud. Sometimes we say it, because it makes a nice rhyming sound. Other times we use the root word only. Enjoy!

Este es el libro favorito de mi nina de 7 meses. Prefiere este libro sobre el televisor y sobre cualquier juguete. A mi nina, le doy a escojer entre este libro a otras cosas, y con una sonrisa voltea hacia este libro. Con su manita me pide que se lo lea. Le leo este libro 5 veces por dia. (This is my 7 mth old's favorite book. She prefers this book over TV or ipad, iphone....etc. I let her choose this book to other books and other toys....she always turns with a smile to this book.....with her little hand she taps on this book as her way of asking me to read this book. I read this book 5 times per day)

Livro lindo. Gostamos bastante. Só as tapitas que são um pouco difíceis do bebê levantar sozinho, eu tenho que levantar pra ela. Minha bebê tem 1 ano e 3 meses.

Needed to get my son more Spanish speaking books, was hard finding one with lift up flaps so happy I found this one, son loves the book and being able to lift the flaps.

Beautiful book, it arrived just in time for my nephew to enjoy it and he LOVES it!!!! One of his favourites, we will read to him and he will lift up the covers in response. The book goes on to ask about the other parts of the body, super cute. He loves it so much, fantastic book, get it!! El libro esta precioso, llego justo a tiempo para leerselo a mi sobrino uno de estos dias, y lo adora!! Le encanta que se lo leamos, y goza con las tapitas para responder al "Donde esta ....?", que continua con el resto del cuerpo. Lindisimo el libro, definitivamente una buena compra.
