It works really good for my father that had a stroke. Good for the money and easy for him to use. Another plus is it's not heavy at all.

The dish is ok. Our OT had one that was made of melamine and was a lot heavier...we were looking for a heavy one. It was identical in shape, so kind of what we were looking for. But with his movements he can push this one around easily, even with the foam on the bottom.

This bowl has been a big help with independent eating. It is higher on one side with a curve, which really helps prevent food from spilling. Before, when I was caring for a gal, I would have to hold her plate at an angle so she could eat by herself. With this bowl, I no longer have to do that—she can eat independently without me holding or tilting the plate. Clean-up is so much easier, and best of all, more food actually gets eaten (which is a win! lol). The only downside is I wish the bottom had a better non-slip grip, and it’s a bit smaller than I expected. That said, both of those are things we can work around. Overall, it’s been very helpful and definitely worth it for anyone assisting someone who needs a little extra support while eating.

Oh what a crumb saver. My husband loves his toast and will never get out a plate to carry it to the tv. this is perfect. i keep itby the toaster and it carries easily with no slipping.

My husband has Parkinson's Disease. This plate makes eating neater and easier for him. The rolled rim makes it easy to load food onto the spoon or fork. The coating on the bottom of the plate keeps the plate from sliding around. I ordered the 8" plate. The next size up would have been a better choice. Also, I hand-wash this plate because I'm not sure how long the non-skid surface on the bottom would last if subjected to the dishwasher. I could knock it because it is not pretty in any way, but I got it for it's function and it serves very well.

I bought this for my husband after a stroke left him with the use of only one hand. He can get every last molecule of food with this plate (he was raised to clean his plate before leaving the table so this reduces anxiety for him). The nonstick pad on the bottom works. No sliding plate. I gave him one of my square waffle-textured silicone potholders to use as a non-slide surface for plates and bowls, so with this plate it definitely doesn't go anywhere.

The person I bought it for uses it all off the time as it stays put on her table and prevents crumbs. Will buy again. I bought a second one because my client loved the first one. It really helps people who have disabilities. Great a containing crumbs. The discolouration from chicken broth or saffron is permanent though. That yellow stain will not go away. My clients made rice and after putting it in the microwave to reheat the yellow stain would not come off from the chicken broth or something yellow they put in the rice.

Made eating easier therefore more enjoyable

Very good, well designed product. Easy to use with one hand. The down side is the cost and the fact that it stains easily.
