Imperial IMP22Y Folding Pocket Knife, Stainless Steel for Outdoor, Outdoor Survival and EDC,Silver

IF "made in China" is offensive, than this knife is probably NOT the knife brand for you because that's where it's made. I bought this little knife for mostly opening boxes and packages coming into the shop, but the lil' yellow stinker has managed to whittle it's way into my pocket outside of there quite frequently. Initially, I just looking for a basic, simple, one-bladed pocket knife that didn't cost me a small fortune. I was not disappointed with this particular one. Good lock up, not too hard to pull the blade, bright yellow helps makes it easier to see where I left it as I'm always setting it down, get busy and not paying attention where i put it. Blade is centered and not loose at all. It has many of the qualities of a much more expensive knives. About the only cmplaint, like others have mentioned, it was a little gritty out of the box, but a good cleaning/oiling and working with it has made it smooth out rather nicely....no complaints with that now. It didn't take me too long to get it razor sharp, and it seesm to hold the edge fairly well for a knife at this price point. It's not made of the best knife blade steel out there, but it is more than adequate for the use it was purchased for. FWIW, when it does start to dull, and it will, I give it a few passes on my strop and it's right back to being plenty sharp enough for the purposes that it's used for. On top of all of that, IF I do happen to lose it, I'm not out a big ole bunch of money. Overall, I'm wll-pleased with it as it meets my needs quite well. Bottom line: I just like it.

I bought this for less than $8 and free shipping! I figured not a great financial loss if the knife turned out to be sub-par. To my absolute surprise, it is extremely well made, nicely fitted and finished, with a very positive opening and closing and absolutely no side play of the blade. Very sharp, stainless blade nicely centered in the handle. I love the yellow celluloid handles, very smooth and rounded edges - easy on the pocket. Perfect size for EDC, I ordered two more as spares from E-Cop (great seller) as well as a full-size Imperial black handled sodbuster. All in all. a great knife and a great value!! Update: A few years ago, with two daughters in college, I sold probably 100 knives ( among many other possessions) to ease the costs of tuition and just living. Well those days are past, kids gone, and I just bought this knife again, for only 8.69! Such a modest cost for such a good knife! Mine was next day delivery, the blade is centered perfectly in the handle, sharp and flawless! Perfect size for EDC in front pocket, fit and finish without any issues. Great value!

Fantastic value folder. It came perfectly centered with no gaps anywhere on the knife. I am so impressed with this inexpensive old school knife. It wasn't very sharp and the pivot was pretty gritty upon arrival. I oiled the pivot, waxed and buffed the whole knife, and sharpened it up good. Unfortunately it took way more than a simple stropping to get it like I like it. I've had it about a week and the pivot has smoothed out nicely. My knife is tight and well put together. No blade rub on the liners or back pin. Wish I would have bought this knife long ago. It gives me much joy that something so simple and inexpensive can still be so well made and nice. Judging by how long it took to put a nice edge on it with diamond stones, I think the blade is gonna hold up fine. I would and will recommend this to anyone needing a basic, simple folding knife. I bought this knife to have a low cost knife I can use or abuse without worrying about it. There is a certain freedom having a cheap knife you don’t have with a high dollar knife. I really like the size and the fact the blade has enough of a drop point to make it better than a knife that just has a straight back blade. It came pretty sharp but the edge had a burr on one side. I touched it up and it is very sharp now. Idk how long it will stay sharp but I imagine long enough. I am slowly accepting Chinese knives even though I like my knives to say made in Germany. Those days seem to be gone. This knife is just the right size and shape and the price is right. Has been doing fine for normal daily use.

Hey for the price you either give a 5 star or be quiet. You cannot compare beer and champagne, but it is well made and works. I managed to get it very sharp. For the price, great, for the look, oh well the Chinese had a go at it, what do you expect at that price.

While many go for Case or higher-end knives, this Imperial Sodbuster model is more than adequate for most EDC needs, at a fraction of the cost. A timeless model used for generations of farmers and others, its simplicity is a large part of its appeal. The yellow synthetic scales, while giving it that traditional look this model is known for, also provides a safety feature if the knife is ever dropped, increasing its visibility. While I haven't put any serious stress on it, I can't see why it wouldn't hold up to everyday use that most of us need it for, such as opening or breaking down boxes, cutting cordage, opening letters and parcels, etc.

I received this as a gift off my wish list and I couldn't be happier. The price/quality value is surely 5 stars. This is certainly not a perfect knife, but for less than the price of a single movie or a couple lattes, you have a sharp, strong, and wonderful feeling knife. It is hard to say that the yellow is a very classic shade, and feels great in your hand. I use this as my EDC now, and I often find myself turning it over in my hand as it is very smooth. The spring on mine is very strong, making it require effort to open, but this is good as I have young kids and it keeps them from opening the knife accidentally. I use this knife daily to cut hay bales open, slice an apple at lunch, and open envelopes and packages, all with exceptional results. If you are looking for a knife for EDC, or even a secondary knife or something to give out for a gift, you can't go wrong here.

Fa quello che fa... L'affilatura non era un gran che ed ho dovuto lavorare un po' per renderla accettabile. Un coltello di poche pretese. Da usare nei vari lavoretti senza paura di rovinarlo, vsto il costo. Almeno non è un misero cinese...

Das Messer gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut. Ich habe nichts auszusetzen. Die Klinge hat eine gute Gebrauchsschärfe, ist recht gut zentriert und wackelt nicht. Griffschalen und Rückenfeder sind schön ohne fühlbare Übergänge verschliffen und poliert. Aus meiner Sicht ein gutes und günstiges EDC.

Ideal para el bolsillo, tamaño perfecto para comida de todo tipo (fruta, verdura, cortes y fritanga). Trae muy buen filo, es ligera y discreta. Viene muy rugosa de fábrica, hay que limpiarla y aceitarla. Tiene buen muelle pero su apertura y cierre es un poco rugoso al principio pero con el uso se asienta y tiene un push-pull de muelle firme y bueno, se siente seguro. Si vale la pena por el precio. Llego un día antes del esperado, muy bien amazon!!! TOMA 2; compre la segunda y esta igual de buena que la primera, es una navaja EXCELENTE.

La navaja es bonita similar al tamaño de una farmer de vitorinox. En este caso la navaja llego totalmente seca en su mecanismo y con un polvo blanco, supongo que residuos de la fabricacion de las cachas las cuales son de plástico imitando al hueso, limpie, aceite y saque algo de filo ya que tiene poco afilado de fabrica. Es una buena navaja para un uso sin exigir tanto o para coleccionar. Me costo $202 MXN = 10.14 dolares a la fecha Octubre del 2022.
