This is not house wire,this is low voltage(12volt) definitely don't put this in your house or you'll have major problems

what gauge speaker wire should I use 140 Watts 12 ft long

This 14 Gauge will do the trick. It's pure copper so there will be like no resistance just pure flow. I have alpine s type 80 watts (160 watts) front and back I even have my sub hooked up to this wire and it sounds awesome

Can this be used as a power wire for a amp in a car?

Definitely wouldn't recommend it wire gauge thinner than 10 gauge 12 gauge is more for speaker wiring 8 gauge and up would be more suitable for amplifier power wires depending on the amplifier just go for the largest gauge wire that fits in the amplifier
