Can you bend the bag to put it on an embroidery machine? In other words are the sides somewhat flexible?

Yes - you can easily embroider it. The whole bag is soft sided.

Just checking here, so i could fit a 18 inch long crowbar in there right?

It should fit, but may tear the bag.

What are the zippers made out of?

They are nylon, they don't have a brand name.
