ACUPWR Tru-Watts 500-Watt Step Up/Down Voltage Transformer with IEC C13 Input and Type F Schuko Plug/Power Cord – Use 100-Volt Appliances in 220-240-Volt Countries, and Vice Versa - AJ-500EUD

Description

ACUPWR's AJ-500EUD model is an American-made step down voltage transformer that converts AC voltage from 220-240 volts to 100 volts, and from 100 volts to 220-240 volts. This allows appliances and electronic devices that require 100 volts, such as those used in Japan, to operate in countries with a 220-240-volt, and vice versa. The AJ-500EUD has a guaranteed load capability of 500 watts (VA) and will go 20-percent beyond that number thanks to our Tru-WattsTM technology, which uses a thermal protection sensor for overload protection and safety; when the transformer overheats due to wattage or voltage overload, the unit will automatically shut off and restart when it cools down. [Compare with cheap transformers that use unreliable glass cartridge fuses]. This is why the manufacturers of Asian-made transformers suggest you purchase a model that is twice or even three times the wattage you require. With ACUPWR Tru-WattsTM the "Two-Times the Wattage" rule doesn't apply. The AS-500EUD features a NEMA 5-15R Type B-compatible output and an IEC C13 power cord receptacle. Our default power cord comes with a Type F (Schuko) plug common throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, and many other places where the 220-240-volt standard is common. Other power cord and plug type combinations are available and can be requested by indicating particular type in the "notes" field during checkout. These cords are available with the following plug types: Type M (South Africa), Type G Fused (United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Malaysia), Type B (Philippines, Peru), Type I (Australia, New Zealand, China), Type J (Switzerland), Type D (India), Type H (Israel), Type L (Italy, Chile), and Type K (Denmark).
