They are 14 inches long. Kind of an hour glass shape being 3 1/2 inches wide at narrowest part, 5 inches wide at front and 6 1/2 inches wide at back.

Do these have an adhesive strip that sticks to the adult diaper? we are looking for non-adhesive booster pads to prevent ripping the diaper's crotch

While they may rip the lining of the underwear if not carefully removed, I find the tears small or at least limited to the center where the adhesive of the new pad sticks satisfactorily.

Can this be used inside plain underwear as a pad?

No. It does not have a barrier like panty liners, period pads or other incontinence pads used for minor issues. This one is considered a booster pad, which actually flows through to the accompanying disposable undergarment/diaper. The point of it is to help absorb more urine than just the undergarment/diaper itself. Primarily for extreme incontinence or overnight use, along with disposable underwear.
