Will my dog attack it?

When we first got ours, I trained my dogs to be around it. I put treats on top of it and gave them treats when they were around it. They hate the regular vacuum and will attack it but not the iRobot.

Does it go good from area rugs to hard wood floor

The truth about carpets. The ILIFE V3 does an amazing job on hardwood floors and a good job moving to carpets with a few caveats. If you have a small area rug on a hard wood floor it may have some problems. We have found the heavier/larger rugs cause no problems. With a small light rug just purchase a rug pad to go under it. This should secure it in place and prevent any problems.

can it pick long human hair?

Yes, I put it in my bathroom and it picked up all the hair without any problems. It also picked up my dog hair without any problems as well and it is a long haired dog.

I have an inch wide and a 1/4 inch tall trim board separating my tile and hardwood floors. Does this robotic vacuum get stuck or stop at floor trim?

It depends on the height of your transition piece. I have a rather thick transition piece in my bathroom doorways onto my wood flooring and the ILife does get stuck there. I remedied the situation by placing my bathroom mat at the door way and the Ilife has no issue going onto the mat and then can make it out of the bathroom but I have to help him get into the bathroom.
