I love this product and have been using it for 5 years now. It has a very nice smell, helps to hydrate hair. It can be used as a leave in conditioner or washed out.

The Maui line has a very fruity scent (like Herbal Essences scents) and it reminds me of a generic ("this will do") type product. It's not the best for 4c hair but BY FAR isn't the worst (like most of Carol's daughter's products). Doesn't provide a lot of slip, more moisture. 💁🏾‍♀️ STYLING / APPLICATION: → Best for dry hair (for styling): Yes. → Best for wet hair (as a base): yes, for damp hair. → A lot of product needed on dry hair: Yes (used 1/5 of bottle each time). → A lot of product needed on wet hair: Normal amount. → Adds Curl Definition: No. → Adds Volume: Yes, makes hair fluffy. → Moisturizes when dry: Somewhat. → Dries down and keeps moisture: Somewhat, not the best (feels dry again the next day) → Does product sit on to of hair: No. → Does product soften hair (when dry): Yes, makes soft and fluffy. 💁🏾‍♀️ PRODUCT DUPES AND/OR SIMILARITIES → Hard to compare to other products... better than most popular drugstore brands. OVERALL/FINAL THOUGHTS → For 4c hair, I would recommend this for a more affordable option although it's not the best. This will be a good styling cream for moisture but it doesn't keep coarser hair moisturized when this product dries down. I would suggest mixing this with an oil to help seal in the moisturize so you aren't using so much of this product daily. 4c hair will go through this product quickly if you don't use this with oil or in combination with a true leave-in conditioner. This is an affordable option but nothing beats TGIN's Miracle RepaiRx Curl Food Daily Moisturizer (link: https://www.amazon.com/Miracle-RepaiRx-Daily-Moisturizer-Natural/dp/B07K6TWB9D) which is a standalone product (needs nothing). my favorite deep conditioning mask on a budget! makes my hair curl sm better and smells amazinggg

This is definitely a mask, and my 1C-2A hair really likes it. I think it smells nice too. It goes on thick and eventually dries well, and my hair just feels better afterward. Seems to help keep splits and breakage away, and the ingredients are good - no silicones, mineral oil, or other horrors everybody should run screaming from.

The texture of the product is nice and smooth, I like the smell as well. The reason why I’m not giving it a 5 stars is cause I don’t feel like it helps a lot moisturizing or controlling frizz, I don’t know exactly if it’s only for curly hair but for my type of hair is not working well. After the shower I feel a heavier hair that is not easy to comb and the frizz is still there ☹️ so personally I wouldn’t buy it again

I use this on my grandson's natural hair and on my locs. It's very creamy and smells great. The moisture lasts about 3 days at a time.

This is the first time I use this product. I really like the creaminess of this mask and how well detangles my hair with a small amount of product. I haven't used as a leave-in conditioner so I cannot comment on that. I've used it both as a conditioning mask (shampoo, rinse, applied mask, left on for 3 minutes, detangled, washed out) and as a deep treatment mask (dried my hair after rinsing shampoo, applied a thick layer, left it on for 10 minutes and then washed out) and the results have been great on my hair, which looked nourished and shiny afterwards. I was fearing that I might need to use a lot of product as I have long wavy hair, but it was not the case. I like the creamy neutral scent, which I think is perfect for any gender. If I compare this mask with my preferred usual hair mask from another brand, this matches the results I get from the latter. Although I bought this Maui's heavily discounted during a flash sale, I don't think I would want to pay its standard price when my other mask does the same job at a cheaper price. Having said that, I will definitely buy it again if I get it discounted.

I was little hesitant at the beginning but to be honest it is worthy product makes the hair silky smooth and soft my hair feels great after using this I do use it with heat spa cap gives amazing result I use this once every 2 week works well for me the amount of product for the price is worth it one pack goes for long time , mostly depends to the length of the hair but worth every penny it does have a dominating coconut smell which I like the most in it ,in case some people might not like the strong smell . Do give it a try great product ☺️
