Simple amazing. Deep bass, very flat response and amazing stereo image.

Me atreví a comprar este par de monitores basándome en las reseñas de los profesionales con el objetivo de escuchar música en alta resolución y también conectarme a alguna plataforma de "streaming". El sonido es fantástico, un nivel diferente. El bajo es equilibrado, bastante agradable.También funcionaron para una fiesta, truenan de verdad, sin distorsión. Los recomiendo para quienes buscan calidad de audio para sus momentos de diversión o relajación. No hay que olvidar que al principio tienen que sonar unas 20 horas a volumen bajo para que sus engranajes se acoplen debidamente.

I have no idea where to begin, but I'll start by saying that if you're looking for studio monitors that can handle anything you throw at them, while costing less than a grand a piece, this may be the studio monitors you're looking for. I have to preface by saying that this has been a weird revelation....the RCA single-ended connections sound just as amazing to the balanced XLR connections....and I tested this using an RME ADI-2 DAC FS with the ESS chips, and the K13 R2R for that super-analog sound signature. RCA wins over the XLR with this monitor, so if you're looking for the best playback speaker for a medium to large-size room and have a high quality DAC, get this and you'll be overly-satisfied.I would put this up against any studio monitor costing $2000 for a pair, without hesitation.Build Quality:Exceptional build quality. Structurally.....the knobs, toggle switches, side panels...all high quality. Focal also used reasonably high quality components inside the monitor. Taking the unit apart, you see high-end capacitors and a well-thought out circuitry design to protect the monitor and keep it from failing prematurely. Thank you, Focal. The components used provide some serious power to the drivers when the most demanding low-frequency tunes are played through the monitor.Sound Quality:Unbelievable sound depth. Coming from the Adam S2v (which are the smallest flagship monitors Adam Audio produces, but costing way more), I am absolutely blown away by the depth in music that these monsters produce. 3D sound is an understatement. I have a professionally treated room, and in my room, these monitors can be used for just about anything. The fidelity is out of this world. One huge quality these monitors have is that they truly pack a serious punch. The sound at low volume is full and warm, and at higher volume levels, my goodness....high-impact, breath-taking sound and absolutely no distortion. The low-frequency driver barely moves and the room is yet filled with unreal low-end. For someone that listens to music a low volume levels, this monitor is a gem.Bass:Thunderous bass, but absolutely zero boominess. The bass from these monitors is crazy, but yet still super-clean. The fidelity and micro-dynamics in the bass is just out of this world. I measured the monitors to go as low as 36Hz in my room, so that should tell you what these are capable of. I have a custom 12" high-output studio subwoofer, but I find myself removing the sub from the equation just so I can hear the beautiful, non-augmented bass from the Focals. I have a medium-sized studio and I can safely say that I do not want to use my sub anymore due to the clean bass coming from these monitors.Mids:Deep, meaty, full-bodied mids! The bass and mid-frequencies make this monitor stand out from the rest. Focal is known for the punchy, lively and fun sound signature, and boy do these monitors do the trick. Vocals and musical instruments sound life-like. These bass and mids together are highly addictive. I can't stop listening to music through these things.Highs:Okay, this is the tricky part. I want to get my point across without scaring any potential buyers.*** The highs are ridiculously bright in a non-treated room. The HF-shelf knob in the back of the monitor is going to be what you're going to be battling. I found that the knob has to be at -3.15 db for my room for near field monitoring. ***Also, these monitors are NOT just near field monitors. When reading the manual, it says that it can be used for mid-field monitoring too and THIS is why they have the ability to go bright up top in the high frequencies. A large treated room in a mid-field setup will need the HF shelf to be set to -1 db or 0.Also, please please burn the monitors in for 20 hours just like it’s stated in the manual. There’s a reason for that with these monitors that I don’t want to get into.I highly recommend this to anyone that produces dynamic music with a lot of sub-bass such as deep progressive techno, atmospheric drum-n-bass, dub techno, ambient space music, and cinematic scores.

Very good performance, fully open sound stage, with tight base and treble, especially 8 inch driver is noticeably producing lower frequency, no pints to keep my separate preamp and amp and other speakers compartments, will sell my old hifi equipments to save space and money.
