Easy to install on our screened patio door. Our dog got used to it very quickly. It’s been few months now and has helped our dog get in and out of our patio very easily.

This door is perfect for our 12# Malchi pup. She learned to use it very quickly, but at first she scratched it with her paws before going thru. She just blows thru it now, but the screen has scrunched up and the door pops out of its hinges sometimes when she goes thru it like a freight train. I just ordered another one; we can install the new one and take this one out for repairs, rotate them. It’s really helped with potty training. Not looking forward to my PGE bill, as door must be open all day.

I have two dogs (65lbs & 35lbs) and a cat (9lbs) and purchased the large size. My larger dog and my cat learned to use the door very quickly; my other dog wasn’t as comfortable—it took about half a day before she wanted to even go near it (despite treats). I had been concerned about the reviews stating pets got their heads stuck—in my mind, I was imagining a wary and uncertain animal going forward then backing away. I held the door open for mine the first few times, so my dogs/cat could be comfortable with passing through—that way, there would be no hesitation once they started. With regard to installation, I have an older, metal mesh, sliding screen. I think having this type of screen made it a bit more difficult to trim (I left the screen mounted while installing), but the rigidity of the finished product is great. I just had to ensure I trimmed the screen well enough so no metal was as sticking through—especially on the bottom. It’s a nice, clean look. I had also been concerned about reviews stating the locking pieces would (essentially) slide easily and randomly lock the door. Perhaps the locking pieces have been changed since those reviews were written, because I hear a definite “click” and can feel when the pieces go into the lock and unlock positions. I’m so glad to have this door, but now that my fur babies are loving the freedom, I’m going to have to get a “regular” pet door when the cold weather hits.

Perfect for letting our cat out on the deck and into the catio without letting in the bugs. Was easy to install and does not block the slider or window at all. The screws are tiny so keep track of them, I almost lost one through the deck slats. I like that I am able to lock the door for when I want the door or window open without the cats going out, thought the locks are a little tricky to line up sometimes.

Super simple install process, only problem is you cannot go off of the recommended weight for the size. I have two dogs one who is 55lbs and one that is about 75lbs. According to the description both of my dogs should be able to easily use this door. My smaller dog fits perfectly my bigger dog has to arch down when going through. It has a place for now but I am replacing it this week. Other than it not being accurate measurement wise for the dog recommendations it is a good door. We got it to replace using magnetic screens that we end up replacing two or three times a year.

I was apprehensive to cut a hole in my screen door but am so glad I bought this! Installation was fairly simple - I needed a second person to hold one side so I asked my 17 year old daughter to help. Between the two of us we were able to install it in about 20 minutes. The instructions recommend to cut the hold prior to installing however I positioned one piece to the intact screen door, popped the screws through the screen, attached the other half on the other side of the screen and then used a knife to cut the screen around the flap. I had to trim a little higher up along the bottom where the latches are but once the first two screws were in place to hold it, it was fairly simple to snap the two sides back together, insert the rest of the screws and cut the screen. I have a dachshund and a beagle. I held the door open, both inside and outside, for both of them to practice going through the door and they picked it up right away. I then worked with them on pushing the door. The beagle picked up on pushing the door open to go outside within a few minutes and went out three times within the first hour. He's still working on finding the door to come back in. The dachshund doesn't seem as excited about it but I imagine he will pick up on it after watching the beagle a few times. Overall, I'm very happy with this and it will reduce the number of times I have to get up during the day to let them outside. It also lets me determine if an actual dog door would be worth installing at some point based on how they use this.

Update: auch im Jahr 2023 sind wir noch super zufrieden mit dem Produkt! Hält nach wie vor super! Wir haben die Klappe im Insektengitter IM Fenster eingebaut. Unsere Katze hüpft zuerst auf eine Ablage draußen und dann weiter durch die Klappe rein in die Wohnung. Anfangs ließen wir die Türe draußen um ihr zuerst den Ein und Ausgang ohne Türe anzugewöhnen. Bei den ersten Versuchen brauchte sie ein bisschen Hilfe uns Sicherheit. Danach klappte es super! Wir haben noch eine kleine Leiste mit doppelseitigen Klebeband im Fenster Rahmen und zum Rahmen der Türe hin angebracht. (siehe Fotos) Dies stabilisiert dir Türe noch zusätzlich, da durch das rauf springen und durch gehen das ganze schon lauter ist. Würde sie eben durch die Türe gehen wäre dies sicher nicht notwendig. Die Montage war sehr einfach. Wir sind seit über einem Monat sehr glücklich mit der Klappe. Es erleichtert denn Alltag sehr für uns!
