Very good mystery and love story.
I enjoyed this book, Perhaps a little less than her first book, but if a third one is written in the same vein, I will read it to. It takes a leap of faith to believe than anyone can have such vivid dreams that predict events such as described. In my top 5 favorite books
One of the absolute best books I have ever read. I started this at the beginning of a long travel day and finished it within one day after finishing the first one in a week. Amazing series and writing.

We get great characters again
This second edition of Charlie Cates is far away from the Southern Gothic style of the first The Gates of Evangeline. This story has a pregnant Charlie and Noah in Texas where Charlie again is having premonitions about a child. Well, this story is quite different from the first story on a Southern estate. This one is on the Mexican border with many characters and Charlie just as bold as ever! We get great characters again, and a winding story til the end it seems anyway. I enjoyed the story and look forward to the third edition.

Somehow the author weaves mysterious and supernatural elements into a culturally rich setting with such pragmatism. This is a sequel, and to already know the characters is to care about them, but I also think a reader could very easily love this story without having read the first in the series.

A perfect sequel! It was a truly amazing book, with just enough of the original vibes to keep you hooked until the end.

I think this book was returned to you. If not it will have been given to a Charity Shop. I tried reading one of this writers books and although I can’t now remember why I do remember not reading very much of it because it just wasn’t for me.
