After the free 6 months, would I need a monthly subscription to continue using the product?

No they give us one free course and driving range if you want more golf course you have to pay for them

The included sim club make a clicking noise at the bottom of the swing and at finish like something is sliding around in the club. Is that normal?

Yes it’s a weight in the end to help simulate a real club and it slides to make sure it feels like the right weight.

Are any other golf simulation ios apps compatible with the slx microsim besides just the poorly-rated e6 connect app?

They have their own course in progress and seems much better then the e6
