This was exactly what I needed for my birds. After the first day using I saw a difference in the bird droppings, not perfect but better. I will say that the first time the birds went into the food with this powder on top they were not too happy and moved off the food. I gave it a bit of a stir so it wasn't just on top and when they went back to try the food again there was no problem and they have been eating regularly with the powder lightly mixed in since. Also, the previous unpleasant odor from their droppings is gone. After three days they are doing very well but I will continue to use this product.

I'm a wildlife rehabber and these avian probiotics become a crucial element in all of my patients' diets at some point during their healing process. My birds on systemic antibiotics, and the ones that are heavily parasitised, always get these probiotics in their food to help balance the deficit of natural gut flora that are being depleted while they are struggling. The same can be said for my birds that are undergoing the stress of captivity, are going off their food, or are immune compromised in some other way. It's direly important to stabilize and support gut health for wild animals in captivity, so I'm a huge supporter of a high quality probiotic supplement (bonus points for this being dairy free, as avians really shouldn't be fed dairy!) My healthy birds and mostly-recovered patients receive their probiotics twice a week in their meals to keep them on a good track. The price per oz is a little intimidating for someone on a budget, I'll admit, but the results I'm seeing in my patients makes this a worthwhile purchase to me. My budgies are currently on grounded pellet and seed mix diet and I read that they could benefit from a probiotic in addition to their daily multivitamin, I use the one from oasis. Many times a lot of birds suffer from inadequate vitamins and minerals and an unhealthy gut, which is sometimes evident in their poop and/or behavior. Active, singing birds are happy birds. And I noticed that my budgies were more energetic and social after I started them on this probiotics. I’ve been using this product for almost 2 months and I’m happy with the results. Follow the instructions for the dosage. You really don’t need much, just a pinch for small birds but it comes with a scooper for convenience and sanitary reasons and dosage instructions on the container. Just mix it in with their food. Other reviews mentioned adding it to water but I haven’t tried that. My birds are NOT cage-bound. They get plenty of play/fly time and sunshine. Probiotics are a preventative measure so your birds stay healthy. Sick birds need antibiotics, please don’t wait until your bird is sick. Other reviews mention that this helped their sick bird recover from diarrhea and lethargy. Seriously, get it, your bird will love you and you’ll feel like the responsible pet owner you are! :)

This stuff is amazing. I have a senior bird (15+ year old parakeet). Who was really starting to look tired. Within 3 weeks of starting these probiotics she has perked back up, her colors are very vibrant again, and she is feisty as she was 5 years ago! I am absolutely shocked! She sees an aviary specialist every 6 weeks and even the vet was asking what we have changed to see such a change! The aviary vet now recommends this to bird parents by name! So impressed!

All the great reviews have convinced me this is a helpful product, but my budgies won’t eat any food I put this on. I sprinkle a tiny bit on their cooked grains or veggie chop and stir it in, but they always seem to know where it is and they either eat around it, or will not eat any of the food in that cup. I wish I knew how to get them to accept this. One of my parakeets has always had loose poops, but otherwise he looks and acts very happy and healthy. But I still worry about him. I’ll try a light sprinkle in their dry pellets or seed mix and see if that works better.

My budgie is ill and the vet suggested giving him probiotics to get his good bacteria up. He also just stopped an antibiotic, and many websites state that it is good to give them probiotics while on the antibiotic and some time after to help restore the good bacteria. So far I can't tell if they are working, however, though it's pricey, it is a very good amount, especially for a tiny bird like a budgie. It's easy to use by sprinkling it on food. It does come with a scoop, but I took one star off for the size of the scoop - it is too large for a budgie and would have been nice for them to include a spoon with maybe one side the larger scoop and the other a smaller one. Other than that the bird seems to be eating the food and it's a lot easier than dosing by oral syringe or putting in water. Hopefully now it does the trick and makes my budgie better!

Excellent Probiotics for your Avain friend's but Apple cider vinegar (raw) is 100% better! My parrot 🦜 told Me so!

Worked great on all three of my parrots who had runny poops. I sprinkled it on top of their daily veggie mix for 10 days and their poops are healthy again.

I didn’t got the chance to try for too long but it seems good. And easy to use beeing powder.

Purchased as my parrot was having gut issues (smelly poop) After using this product for a week. I'm happy to say my parrot is back to normal again..My vet advised to keep using
