Excellent Scanner
The MS906BT is a robust diagnostic tool that more than serves my personal mechanical needs. I primarily use it to service 2 high performance Mercedes Benzes and a Dodge Ram pickup. This unit has been a real godsend, especially for the 2 Mercedes, in particular, since these vehicles demand highly sensitive diagnostics to maintain properly. Already, the MS906BT has literally paid for itself since I was able to avoid taking the cars to the dealership by performing several repairs and scheduled maintenance myself. The unit arrived extremely well-packaged โ neatly doubled-boxed. The manufacturerโs attention to detail really shows. The straightforward system software of the unit makes navigation feel naturally intuitive. In no time, the average operator can access shortcuts to the most commonly used/desired actions. The touch screen, by the way, is highly responsive with minor screen latency. The technology is beautifully crafted and well-organized. My favorite feature is the extended range wireless connectivity. Just plug in the vehicleโs ODB and monitor the results from hundreds of feet away if need be. The Bluetooth signal is surprisingly stable, both indoors and outdoors. I also like that the software updates and downloads can be conveniently scheduled overnight so as not to interfere with daytime shop usage or other online activities. Additionally, there is a wealth of information available via interactive online libraries and forums where people freely share their knowledge and experience on every user-level to problem-solve. Overall, I highly recommend this superb scanner for anyone wanting to upgrade to a more full-featured scanner offering an array of dynamic options expected from higher-end diagnostics. Yes, itโs a tad pricey but well worth the extra expense compared to other scanners with fewer features.

Great scanner for general auto repair shops
I have a general auto repair and smog check test and repair station. This has worked out perfectly for me so far. I have had this scanner for a couple of weeks now and I gotta say it gets the work done. Used it on a couple of vehicles like the 2018 BMW X1 to disengage the rear electronic parking brakes, and a 2017 Mercedes c43 amg electronic parking brake. For Japanese vehicles I've tested it on was the 2018 Toyota sienna. I was able to get all pids and data info I needed when I scan the vehicle. Also worked on calibration of tpms id#s on a older 2007 Toyota Sequioa. Lots of pros that I can use on this scanner. Love having the bluetooth wireless adapter makes things more convenient to work on the car on the ground or on the lift. Especially with lots of the late models vehicle these days. The only con is that the updates for the scanner is really pricy and you would have to do yearly or not depends if you wanna pay at the time. Updates for the scanner comes free for the first year so big issues for a while. I'll probably updates the scanner every other or as needed when I come across a newer vehicle. It does take a few moments (minutes)for the scanner to scan the data on the car. Also for being on a tablet now you would think the data would scan pretty fast. It's ok with me as long as it gets the job done right. There's other scanners from autel that can do more but I think this one just suits my shop needs. No need for the extra flashy scanner if your not going to use it to its potential.

More Than Expected
Most aftermarket scanners only offer light duty trucks and cars, this actually scanned my medium duty trucks at the shop (GMC T7500 and a Nissan UD) with a fair amount of in depth detail, including setting shift points and speed limits on the truck if need be. The included inspection camera on the package I ordered was perfect for inspecting cylinder walls of an engine without a complete breakdown, and I would make sure to buy that separately if it's not included. Make sure to turn auto updates on, as Autel is constantly sending out updates. (This is a good thing!!) My only complaint, if you are not using the scanner, make sure it's plugged in or turned completely off, as the stand by time when not being used is only about 48hours. As a shop manager in charge of fleet maintenance for over twenty heavily used trucks, I can safely recommend this tool to anyone looking for a quality scanner at a great price.

Great Company to work with
Update** I had this scanner for 2 years and was having issues with this scanner not powering on. This scanner is out of warranty but the company offered me a new scanner at an agreed on price. I could have sent it in to see if my older scanner could have been repaired but when it was all said and done it was a better option for me to buy a new scanner. I would definitely recommend working with this company. They stand behind their customers. I got this scanner to do a Cummins VGT calibration. I had a program from another company that claimed it could perform this learning process but would not perform the task. After charging, connecting to the internet and updating the Autel device I was Prealigning and Calibrating and completed within minutes! The process was simple and flawless. My only complaint is I wish I would have gotten the next model up. More functions and a larger screen.

The best scanner I have ever used. 5 stars
This specific scanner is not only easy to use it is light weight and the perfect size. The case is so well made and has plenty of space for all the stuff inside. I have had it for a few months and it has helped me in so many ways. Lost my truck keys and in a few minutes I was able to program 2 more sets. Its has so many bi- directional options and soecual functions that it really surpasses any other scanner on the market. Touch screen, wireless, and most of all adorable. Why you anyone buy any other scanner? So glad I purchased this scanner it meets my needs and more. I give it 5 stars ... thank you

Autel US sucks Autel Choice is by far a great retailer.
This is an Update to my original review. Although Autel US did me wrong by saying that Autel Choice wasn't an Authorized reseller. Manta M from Autel Choice reached out and was more than willing to help me and went above and beyond to help me. Offering various options to make sure that I am satisfied. I canโt thank Autel Choice enough for their help and support. I really appreciate it. They are the BEST seller I have had the pleasure of dealing with. I bought the scan tool brand new from Amazon. It is quite slow compared to other brands. After performing a firmware update, the scan tool became inoperable and essentially turned into a paperweight. I had believed I was covered by warranty, which I was. However, the new firmware update caused the scan tool to get stuck in boot mode, resulting in it constantly rebooting until I had to manually turn it off. I contacted tech support, but it took them a few days to respond. Once they did, they instructed me to ship the device to them, and I had to pay for shipping, even though it was still under warranty. This was my first red flag. After about five days, they contacted me to say that my device was internally damaged and needed to be replaced at an additional cost of $375. I went back and forth with supervisors and managers, all of whom told me that since I purchased the scan tool from an unauthorized dealer, they could not honor my warranty. They also claimed that even though it shipped from a U.S. warehouse, it was a Chinese model, not a U.S. model, which caused the damage due to differing firmware. My concern is: If this was an automatic update, why would they push an update that my device didn't need? In total, I ended up paying $1,500 for the scan tool, plus an additional $375 and $30 for shipping, bringing my total cost to $1,895. I can understand not honoring the warranty due to neglect or misuse, but penalizing me for having a device sold to me in the U.S. that was from another region? Especially after a forced update caused the damage? This company only cares about making money, not about its customers. I would not recommend buying or supporting this brand.

easy to use
I own a small auto repair shop and this scanner is the primary scanner that we use. It is simple enough to use that even those with little diag experience should be able to catch on quickly. The effectiveness does vary depending on vehicle make and model, so you cant expect the same level of capabilities with every vehicle. For example you can't do a vin rewrite with a Ford ecoboost but you can with some Chryslers of the same era. You also can't do much with the Ford security systems but if you are working on a Ford 6.0 diesel it actually has several features that help to pinpoint the issues. It is very competent with many GM models as well, but falls short with many of the older Japanese makes and models. For example, I couldn't get it to communicate with the module that controls the sliding doors on a 2001 Honda odyssey, but I was able to reset the system by disconnecting the vehicle battery. I feel that I should have been able to do this with the scanner. Of course you get new updates almost daily so what you are capable of doing changes often. usually for the better but sometimes not. One time the update removed my ability to graph power balance tests. I could still shut down cylinders but the graph just held a straight line. Other glitches were that if the battery ever went completely dead, the scanner was very difficult to turn back on and the battery wouldn't charge unless the scanner was turned on to the first power setting. Due to this I did send the scanner back within the year warranty period and Autel honored it. The biggest issue was that they wanted me to send them the scanner to get repaired and said that it would take about a month. Well, that month would leave me without my most used shop tool. Fortunately the seller that I used honored the manufacturer warranty and helped make it possible for me to not have to go without a scanner. It has a hard time hooking up to printers, but there are work arounds for that and customer service is awesome and very helpful with that. They can remotely access the tool with your permission and download the needed drivers to work with a wireless printer. Overall this is a system that is still growing and learning, but in the right hands it can be a very useful tool and pay for itself in a short period of time. My buddy has the new Matco scanner and it doesn't seem to be much more capable than this one. 2 of the times that I couldn't get it done with this scanner, I took it to his shop and he hit the same obstacles. I would recommend this scanner overall, just don't expect it to be without glitches. It will fall short at times, but for the money you can deal with those issues as they arise.

Best scantool for the money.
I've had the opportunity to use most of the popular tools available in a variety of circumstances, and this tool by far is the best value for dollar. It does ALMOST everything the Autel Elite does, for less than half the cost. It will do coding on virtually all modules, and has EXCELLENT support for European market cars (which is primarily what I work on, and seems to be the most difficult to find.) - Same exact capabilities as VAGCOM, including the 'long coding helper' for all VW group cars (including Lamborghini and Bentley!) My only real critique would be the workflow for viewing live data, its very organized on many makes and models, but on some of the later stuff there seems to be no filter for all available measured values, and no way to search for a specific term, therefore forcing you to scroll through a list of hundreds of PIDs to find the data you're looking for. That being said some of the OE tools are still working on nailing this down as well (IE ODIS) Overall if you need a very capable tool, and aren't doing a ton of programming (just coding) for the money, you can't beat this one.
