These work great on lightly matted hair without too much aggravation to your dog.

I thought this would remove all the loose hair from my shedding dog....she is a dachshund but really, it didn't do much at all. I think it is more of a detangler. I am trying to find a comb-type item that thins out the coat as you brush, almost with a razor but safe to use on the sleek coat of my dog.

WORKS WELL

I have two Irish Wolfhound mixes and they shed so much!! It never seemed to matter how much you brushed them they still left hair everywhere! My mom had a brush like this for her dog and my girls really seemed to like it so I tried to hunt down one like it. Surprisingly none of my local stores carried anything like this in stock. I felt like this was a pretty comparable price to other brushes you'd see. My only complaint is that it is narrower than I had expected (that comes down to user error and not reading the description close enough!) It gets at my dogs' undercoats really well and my dogs really seem to like it!

We have been using this for a couple months now and we are quite pleased with this product. We have a yellow lab and boxer mix. This works equally as well on both dogs. It's as easy to use as brushing your hair. I was surprised just how much hair wound up in the brush and also how easily you can remove it from the brush. This is very well-made with quality materials. I highly recommend this product definitely worth 5 stars!
