Works on the TLR-2 HL G
Was hesitant to buy this remote switch since a lot of reviewers said it didn't work on Streamlights TLR-2 G green laser so I contacted Streamlight and they said that it just doesn't work on the TLR-2 G since that weapon light only uses one (1) CR123A battery, whereas, the other TLR-1/2 lights use two (2) batteries. So I gave it whirl and ordered one for my TLR-2 HL G - the green laser with high output 720 lumen light. Same day shipping from Amazon which is awesome...does anyone else feel like the free 2-day shipping is too slow now??? Anyways, installation was relatively straight forward after reading the instructions. With the back cover plate on, remove that small silver colored pin away from the larger plastic bump, and remove. Hang on to that back cover plate and pin if you want to reinstall later. Pin wasn't necessary for the remote switch or so I read from the instructions. Install the new remote switch cover starting from the bottom detent and pushing it into place in a quasi upward/forward motion. The fit was rather tight and didn't seem like it would go but did finally after a little bit of pressure. Hook the top ledge with the retaining clip and close. Fits like a glove on a Glock 22 Gen 4 and I like that it still has the rocker panel on the back cover just in case you want the constant-on option. It takes a bit of pressure to activate the pressure button/switch but not so that it makes me change the way I grip the pistol. Does require more pressure than the Surefire DG pressure switch that I'm used to but the Streamlight switch seems sturdier, although only time will tell regarding longevity. I checked all the modes, laser only, light only and laser light combo and they all function properly with the remote switch. I did note that the remote switch does push the cant of the light a bit upwards causing the point of aim to rise slightly upwards. Windage was fine but I did have to adjust the elevation a bit downward. Overall, a great piece of kit for those of you who have the TLR-2 HL G. Would definitely buy again.

When seconds count!
It's 3AM and you wake up to the sound of your back door being kicked in by a burglar. Refusing to be a victim, you reach into your bed side desk and grab your handgun equipped with the Streamlight contour remote & Streamlight taclight. With a firm grip, you're able to light up the inside of your house like a Christmas tree while at the same time being able to keep your muzzle in the direction of where the intruder will be approaching from. In your other hand, you're able to hold a cell phone to call 911. Rather than having to juggle a cell phone, flashlight, and a firearm, the Streamlight Contour remote becomes a vital tool for survival & safety! The contour remote is a must have for anyone in the law enforcement / security / private contractor industry. It's also great for the average citizen that's facing an intruder or defending his/her life. Installation is fairly easy and pretty self explanatory. You remove the switch cap from the taclight, then pop this one on and you're good to go! As usual, everything made from Streamlight is top notch and reliable. I would HIGHLY recommend this tool to everyone that carries a tactical light on their handgun(s). Here is a great video to demonstrate the use and installation of the remote: *(...)

Outstanding product!!!
Outstanding product! Fits my Glock 23 Gen 4 perfectly. A nice, moderate application of force is needed for the activation switch. Not too easy, but not difficult at all. I have the TLR-2s (red laser) model, and yes, the strobe feature still functions perfectly by squeezing the activation button rapidly twice. Note - the packaging for this switch claims that it will NOT function with the TLR-2s Green laser model. I don't know if that is true or not. This product is an outstanding addition to my investment, my only regret is that I did not buy one sooner.

Works as intended.
Fits my Glock 21 SF very nicely, no issue with my safariland als duty holster although there is a slight increase in tension on the weapon while holstered. I was worried about accidental light discharges while drawing my weapon but it has not been an issue so far. The ease of solid beam or strobe selection is great. The pressure switch is set with a good sensitivity. I haven't shot with the remote attached yet, however, the remote doesn't seem to hinder my normal grip.

Good buy, holster fit may be an issue.
Very little use so far. Seems well built so far, the plastic contoured part wraps around and covers the bottom of the trigger guard. To compare to the sure fire, the sure fire seems to change the grip less. They both fit the Safariland kydex ALS holster, neither for the injection molded ALS. The streamlight button seems slightly more sensitive but a sample of one on both accounts. After a day on the range, the surefire showed some wear on the rubber, the streamlight had no issues. It's less than 1/2 the price of the surefire switch. Typical of streamlight, much less expensive, seems well built.

Works exactly as advertised
Works great looks good found it to be uncomfortable on a g21 but no complaints on a g19

Fails under pressure. Good device, if sturdier...
Broke after about 6 months of use. I am a LEO. Broke where the battery door clips to the light. Would like it if it where made of a sturdier material. It was a great device before that. UPDATE DEC 2018 After the first one broke, I bought the same one again. About 1.5 years later, it broke in the same spot. Granted, I "abuse" the gun during training events, but this thing obviously has a weak spot. I cannot, however, find an alternative, so I may buy a 3rd... UPDATE DEC 2019 I have bought 4 so far. They keep freaking breaking! I love everything about the switch. When it works, it's awesome. My last one stopped working for an unknown reason. I suspect the button is malfunctioning. At least this one didn't break, but now I'm looking to buy my 5th one... this is getting costly. I might have to go with a different brand of light altogether.

Must have on your TLR
I bought this after seeing one on a co-worker's glock. I bought one based on the concept sounding good. This pressure switch is awesome! Perfect fit on my G17 or the wife's G19. Allows for monentary light use, while keeping the index finger available for pressing the trigger - if the moment arrives. The only cons might be that: 1. If using a holster with retention(s) i find that i activate the light on occasion (unintentionally) on the draw- just before defeating retention. AND 2. The added thickness on the sides and underbelly of your trigger guard (from this switch) may not allow you to holster your gun. I had to take a dremel to my safariland ALS in the trigger guard area to allow the gun to go in or out. At this point, the retention adjustment screw (for increasing friction/pressure) may not function properly on my holster as a result of the modification, but it is not necessary for my purposes.

Works well, but unnecessary
I don't feel that this is necessary. The light is just as functional without out, could be handy if you are only shooting one handed though.
