Do these lights have an indicator led that indicates the unit is operating correctly when powered by mains? what colour is it?

When delivered, the battery is not connected, but when it's connected and plugged in and charging, there is a green light.

Are these lights approved for use in commercial buildings?

Hello, Yes they are. Thank you, LEDBRITE

How does the non maintained feature work? Can we use the remote to activate the lighting?

Non maintained Is achieved by removing the loop wire from the live terminal inside the light box, why remote activated? It’s an emergency light and should illuminate when power is lost
