Bright light and well balanced
I bought this for a project in an attic with no lighting. It illuminated everything in front of me very well. With the battery in the back, it is well balanced and comfortable to wear. The project was only about an hour so I can't really comment on the battery charge duration other than the indicator still shows it at full charge.

Pretty good, but...
I like how bright the light is. I also like the pattern of light - it's sort of a wide spotlight and it really lights things up at a distance. Speaking of distances, it throws light quite far. I don't know how bright it actually is as lumens go, but I know it's brighter than my usual headlamp which is 350 lumens. I think this could be a great light for hunters, search and rescue teams, and spelunking. However, you need to keep in mind that it's quite large and relatively heavy compared to my usual headlamp. You'll need to decide for yourself if the size and weight are worth it to you. For cave exploration, I'd probably stick to my old headlamp. I won't dissuade anyone from picking this up, nor will I recommend it outright. I think it's a great product and a great price.

Supper Bright
This is by far the brightest headlamp I have owned.

Extremely bright, uses normal 18650 batteries
This is the brightest headlamp I've ever used. It uses three 18650 batteries (included) that can be charged in or out of the battery holder. This is a great feature because it allows you to quickly swap in new batteries when using it away from a charging source for long periods of time. Another great feature is this light will run with just one battery in it. It's not as bright but it works. Great feature. The battery pack has a USB output so you can power or charge other devices with it and it has a completely separate switch that controls flashing red LEDs to let people know you are there. They are bright and visible from far away. The main light has 2 brightness modes and a flashing mode. It's plenty bright in the dim mode but in the brightest mode it's extremely bright and lights up a fairly wide area when you have the lens zoomed all the way out. When you zoom it is, it focuses the beam and makes the light even more concentrated. Good for looking down into dark areas where there's no light at all, another great feature. The light is made from good quality aluminum and seems very durable. The strap is adjustable to fit a bare head or a hard hat and can also fit over a bicycle helmet if you want to use this as a bike light. I'm really impressed with this headlamp. Great for nighttime work, hunting, or anywhere you need to light up dark places. It's comfortable to wear even for long periods of time. No complaints, very happy with this light. I especially love that I can replace the batteries and keep it running for years to come.

Beastly Bright!
I've easily had about half a dozen head-lamps over the years. They're great for walking the dog at night, and until I had one, I never realized just how useful they are around the house when you're futzing around inside a dark spot, trying to tighten a screw or locate a leak. If, like me, you tended to hold a flashlight in your mouth for these jobs, or have someone else hold one while you worked, stop. Really. A head lamp is about a hundred times more functional than either of these options since it leaves your hands free *and* will always point precisely where your looking. This is easily the heaviest headlamp I've ever had, but it's still comfortable as the straps are pretty wide so it distributes the weight well. Also, rather than a hard-to-open battery compartment (some are worse than others), this one is USB rechargeable. VERY convenient. One feature I hadn't even realized when I placed the order.... the large charger block (which sits on the back of your head), has a switch for a bright, red light. So if you're biking at night, you have a taillight as well as a headlight. And the headlight.... wow. This thing is like a police-cruiser searchlight. It's a veritable weapon it's so bright. It also has a dial to focus down to a (square) spotlight, or dialed in the opposite direction to create a very wide-angle flood. I could see the weight being somewhat of an issue for some people, though it didn't bother me in the least. But as long as you're okay with that aspect, you can't go wrong.

Great headlamp but...
This is a powerful headlamp. It has 3 modes as shown in the video. It also has a tail light that runs separately from the headlamp. It comes with 3 rechargeable batteries. They are in parallel so it will run on 1, 2 or all three batteries. If one of the batteries dies, you can remove it and continue to use the headlamp with a shorter run time. My only problem is that the part that rests on your forehead is hard and has some, for me, uncomfortable high spots that will rub you raw over time. It really needs some padding which you can probably add yourself or wear it over a hat.

Super bright and hands free
I was looking for a multi-purpose head mounted light. I owned a cheap AA battery powered unit that I've taken camping and used on occasions when you just don't have enough hands to hold a flashlight and perform the task at hand. It never seemed bright enough and the batteries only lasted a short while until the light became even dimmer. My first use for this unit was the day after I received it. I had some wiring to do in our garage attic to mount a ceiling fan. There is only one bare bulb in the entire attic and I needed to work far away from it and near the attic eaves. My body effectively shadowed what little light there was. I put this on and I had more than enough light to cut the holes, mount boxes and run the cabling. I even used it on the lower setting as the highest setting was too bright. The unit is somewhat heavy due to the size of the batteries and the lamp assembly. Putting it on with only the supplied elastic straps works but isn't comfortable for extended periods. It's much better if you put it on over a knit hat or ball cap. After poking my head on a few roofing nails, I mounted it on a hard hat with the supplied clips and I can envision that I'll be using it in this configuration for several other upcoming projects. I'm sure that I'll have the brightest lamp on the next camping trip too.

Absolutely love it!!!
In the past I’ve gone through headlights like Hugh Hefner went through girlfriends. After receiving this headlight I don’t think I will ever buy a different one ever again! I use this headlight to work on projects around the house, automobiles, projects in my shop, installing a new faucet, and anything else my aging eyes need a little help with. I noticed some big differences between this headlight and previously purchased headlights. The batteries seem higher quality and much bigger, the light itself is brighter, the head straps/forehead piece don’t bother me like other headlamps, and the aiming mechanism feels very secure once you get it in place. Other headlamps in this range usually give up their brightness in about an hour, but this one consistently lasts 3 to 4 times that for me. Couldn’t be happier with this headlamp, and I am debating buying two or three more to keep in my truck, and one in my house, along with one in my shop. Highly recommend!! If anything changes in the future I’ll come back and out of this post.
