These are smaller than what I was expecting; however, they are very nice! Very good detailing, color! Definitely believe they’re authentic! And the price was very reasonable!

Not as pictured or expected. There was no finish gloss on the product one was bruised and scarred at the top of the head and under the lips - along with obvious discoloration, and did not have a nail for hanging it. They just threw a nail in the bag, like the knew I would be able to drive it in with a hammer or my hand. I am not a handyman! There is no hole to place the screw, it would have to be done with a drill or other tool. I am very disappointed! The price does not meet the product, even though it’s hand crafted. This is the first time I felt the need to write a review directly after opening an Amazon product. Contemplating returning them, which is not optimal during this pandemic time. Consider your purchase deeply, considering the return process. I know I will next time, but even more now. Can’t even take a picture because of this format. I take pic, my review disappeared

These masks were low quality. The coloring was much duller than what you see in the pics. The masks also came with cheap screw eye hooks screwed crudely into the tops of each mask, as opposed to there being some kind of string or hook behind the mask for hanging on the wall. They also arrived quite dirty. I was very disappointed. Not recommended.

I don’t know how genuine it is in terms of being made by the Songye tribe, but it is attractive. It doesn’t scream tourist art like some masks, but it definitely not museum quality. I like it and will include it in my African mask collection. Had there been more authentication on where and how it was made, I might have given it 5 stars. Buyers need to be aware that a lot of African art is made in Indonesia, Thailand or with Zimbabwe for sale to other African countries. Since I originally posted this review I have learned that Novika is a Nigerian company that uses skilled artisans to make African masks. The detail work is beautiful. When I think of African masks I think of primitive art. These are new masks and very nice, but traditional masks lack the skill used to make these. Think of them as works of art.

This is so beautiful and small enough for my bathroom.. I love the craft and color.. very Afrocentric..

These masks are a beautiful addition to a small accent wall or studio apartment. I initially intended them for use in my office at school but considering their size, I opted to bring them home because the would look better over my couch. I wish they already had wall mountings on the back when they came but some Krazy Glue, tape and string got the job done. It’s a good pick if you want art representative of the African diaspora that doesn’t take up too much space. They are light weight, easy to carry and valuable for the money paid.

There mask look like what they advertise but they are not 12 inches (So not at described). About 11 inches on the tallest one and just over 10 inches for the other two mask. Also they evidently can't count the appropriate number of eye hooks that have to be used to hang the masks. I certainly didn't get the three needed. So I guess I wonder how many more mask do they get to make from all the material saved from making their mask too short. Or even better why put up a description that is not accurate? I'm going to have a conversation with Amazon about these.. People have been complaining about these for at least a year or more...
