These hoses are quality and good looks all in one package ! They have a 90 degree bend near one end, which enables them to be placed closer to the wall. Trying to get my washer closer to the wall with the old rubber, straight hoses, is precisely the reason I felt so compelled to buy these beauiful braided steel hoses - that being having to use my clean towels to dry up everything in my laundry room, including my floor, walls, and ceiling too, when that old hose did, finally burst, was a sort of stupid irony, as that created an extremely large amount of dirty, soppin' wet laundry. Laundry that could not wait, because mildew is GROSS ! These hoses are gorgeous, as hoses go, one having blue fibers and one having red fibers braided into the strong, steel, burstproof covering of these new, angled-end beauties, making it so much easier identifying exactly which is the cold, and which is the hot hose. I love them lil' hoses. They are worth every cent, were quickly sent, and helped avoid any scent. I thank the gent that sent 'em, without being hesitant, um, yeah. "Thanks, Dude !" There are cupboards above my washer and dryer, meaning I had to bend over, and squeeze behind my washer to install the hoses, rather than just squeeze behind my washer to install them. This hose set is a great value, and is of high quality. They are color coded, blue for cold, red for hot, and very easy to install. The 90 degree ends are genius, the hoses look great when installed and all connections come with new rubber washers. I ordered 60 inch hoses to replace the old 48" all rubber hoses, which looked ready to blow! You will never forget the feeling coming home and hearing the rush of a ruptured hot water washing machine hose. That happened to me ONCE, never again. This new hose set gives me great confidence that I will never have to deal with THAT mess a second time.

The construction, materials & design quality of these lines is far superior to that of the red and blue rubber lines i bought at home depot. They also cost less and were longer. So why did I reject them and use the mediocre rubber lines? 1: Right angle too large. The whole reason for right angle fittings is to get your machine hard up against the wall (without kinking the hose). These elbow fittings were just a lot larger than they needed to be, especially in the dimension we are trying to minimize (extending back toward the wall). I could save another 15mm by using the rubber lines and their cheapo fittings. (just a bent tube with crimped connector vs the fancy elbow casting) It is depressing to install an inferior part, but who wants that extra gap? 2. More importantly, the thread cut in the elbow fitting cap was quite incompatible with the plastic threads on my GE washer. I tried and failed many times to get it to engage, until it dangerously crossthreaded and started to ruin a new $900 appliance. By contrast the cheap rubber lines threaded easily with fingers and snugged in with a channellock pliers.

Timely, exactly as advertised. Replacement for a similar product bought 10 years ago. Good value.

After removing our washing machine for some renovations, I somehow misplaced the hoses. I ordered these and they worked perfectly. I like that these had the 90 deg. end so that I could get closer to the wall. Of course, the next day I found the old hoses. Oh well, probably need to be replaced anyway.

Five stars, so far. No one can really "review" these until you've had them for years, and I don't even know if that's possible yet. But so far, these have functioned exactly as they should: No leaks, easy to install, and...no leaks. Really, nothing else matters aside from not having leaks. And so far, no leaks. They feel well made, they went on easily and snuggly, and again...no leaks. If they stay that way for years to come, then they will have deserved these five stars.
