How much do I need to use?

A 1:1 ratio of quarts of BioShot to quarts of bioactive substrate is the recommended amount to use in your terrarium.

Is a soil inoculant required for a bioactive terrarium?

You don’t need a soil inoculant for a bioactive tank, but BioShot help your plants establish faster by adding mycorrhizal fungi that increase root surface area. It's a tool to jumpstart your terrarium's biological processes.

When do I use BioShot versus BioVive or SoilCal plus?

Use BioShot to jumpstart new tanks and BioVive to refresh terrariums that have been established for over a year. Use SoilCal plus to add additional nutrition to the soil itself for soil-eating pets like millipedes and isopods.

Amazing Products!

All products from The Bio Dude are so great! I purchased the Terra Sahara, Biodegradables, Leaf Litter, and Bio Shot to enrich my new bioactive setup. I immediately saw some of my isopods (that were already in there) seeking out the biodegradables, and the leaf litter is perfect for hiding my clean up crew so my beardie doesn’t eat them! Lol Will definitely continue to purchase products from him, as all of the living things (including my aloe plant and my bearded dragon) in the enclosure seem to really be thriving!

A wonderful addition!

Before my lovely snake Linguini destroyed all her plants, this was a great addition to help them thrive in the “real world”. They lasted a couple weeks before she decided she liked her tank a little more bare lol.
