Does exactly what it says it will do and does it well!
I use this to clean up my knives when they get gunked up a bit. Takes heavy tape glue residue off with ease. I also use it as a conditioner. I have several knives in the collection, mostly Spyderco. I have a range of knife steels and this works well on all of them. I follow the directions on the bottle with great results. I needed something to protect tool steels that do not have much corrosive protection in the metallurgy. Specifically I have had issues with CPM Cru-Wear corroding over a weekend of hiking in humid conditions. This treatment gives me confidence to carry and store higher end tool steel blades without worry. It is super easy to use. Spray on the blade and let sit for several seconds and wipe off and done. I did find that it is easy to leave too much on the blade if you don't pay close attention to wipe it completely clean before fully drying. If you leave it smeared on the blade without fully removing visible residue and it dries, it is best to reapply and start over as it is hard to buff off with a rag. Really great stuff! Will buy more KPL stuff soon for the collection!

Works Perfectly on Carbon Knives
I have a couple of carbon knives which are prone to rusting, so I purchased this knife oil to prevent it from happening. I sprayed a small amount on each side of the blades, removed any excess oil, and put the knives in a kitchen cabinet. After any use, I follow the same steps. After 3 years there isn't even a tiny amount of rust. I'm thrilled with this product. Also, it's a small bottle, but you don't need very much on each knife. I think this bottle will last for years.

Great product
Great product. Nice finish. Leaves a bit of a tangible residue on blade and fingers, but this is expected for a product that aims to also protect the blade from rusting.

So far so good
I bought this to coat all of the knives in my collection/display to keep them clean and rust-free. Use a decent quality cloth, and it's easy to apply, and go from knife to knife. You'll be shocked at the grime that comes off.

Always a trusted brand, no different here
I don't own but one high-carbon steel knife, and it does occasionally get used for food prep. I needed a way to maintain it, and when a search turned up that KPL had a food-safe oil engineered for carbon steel knives, I knew that would be the safest choice to go with as I've used their pivot oils for quite some time, and very much like using them on my knives. Nobody has gotten sick from any food prepared with this, it doesn't have much of a scent, and certainly has done its job protecting my knife. I don't necessarily live in a humid area, but rust gonna rust if you're not minding your gear. This is a fairly thick oil that likes to spread easily, so not much is generally needed. It also coats the blade quite nicely and stays there through storage or carry at any angle, it's not going to run or drop off even in the heat. Can't go wrong with KPL oils, I highly recommend them if you're looking to maintain your knives and extend their longevity.
