This shop is just perfect for what I need it for. It's the perfect size to scoop ice from a store bought bag. I also use it to transfer ice to my ice snow maker, then it's just perfect to load it into cups. I appreciate the sleekness of it.

I love solidly made things that never need replacing. This is one of those things. I've had a number of aluminum scoops this same size, and they work really well. They're light weight and durable--but you can't put them in the dishwasher, so I got this one to replace those when they became dedicated to garden uses outside. Holy moly, this is WAY nicer. It's got heft to it, and is solidly built, but also has a nice, professional-grade finish and a handle whose weight helps to counterbalance the contents when you have a full scoop (that keeps you from accidentally catapulting brown sugar into the air, for example). Would highly recommend.

Perfect ice scoop, even for larger pieces of ice!

I didn't expect this scoop to bring me such joy. I know I sound a little extra, but hear me out. Firstly, I am obsessed with oil slick and rainbow shifting items. That is such eye candy to me. So, I bought this thinking I wouldn't be too upset if it looked a little cheap and didn't last long. What I received was gorgeous and solid! It is heavy and will last. I've had this around 8 months and digging into ice daily there isn't a scratch on it. Shiny as the day it arrived. And seriously, I can't help but smile everytime I open my freezer to grab some ice. It's just one of those things that is fun and practical. I think this is would also be such a great gift also. One last note before I leave, no one contacted me for a review. I'm just this passionate about my rainbow steel scoop. Hey, it's the little things in life. Ok, I'm done here, I'll let myself out.

We use this for a freezer bucket that no longer produces ice on its own. We now.make ice in a portable ice maker (another great item made available through Amazon!!) and we just keep popping ice into the freezer bucket whenever we have a full container ready. The one drawback with the portable ice maker is it produces ice that is a little bit wet so it may stick together in the bucket - having this sturdy ice scoop helps break up the ice so it separates in the bucket and then stays that way for easy a popping into a cup.
