SpaKleen works better than all the rest!!!
I have a jacuzzi tub in my master bathroom that we haven't used in over 3 years because it had a leak. I finally got the leak fixed and used a product called "oh yuk" to try to clean out all the black flakes from the tubing. I thought that I had everything cleared out after 5 or 6 runs. The water was clear and I was pretty happy. But I had also bought this "SpaKleen" product because I wasn't sure which would work better. So I figured why not throw one in just to compare the bubbling. To my shock after running for only one minute the "SpaKleen" product had actually cleaned out even more black flakes. In fact there were a ton of black flakes in the water after running the "SpaKleen". Which I know might sound like a bad thing but it's not it's a very very good thing. It means that it was cleaning even more out of the system than what the oh yuk product was able to get. I attached a video explaining all of this. It's worth the watch. But the short version is if you have a choice between this and the other major product that people tend to use, without a doubt I would choose "SpaKleen" over any other. I know that sounds like a BS commercial, but I'm a real consumer that was just so blown away by how well this product works that I wanted to make the effort to put a review out of it to help others. Buy this with confidence it works fantastic that is so super convenient with just having to drop a single pod in versus measuring out 4 oz like you have to with the other product.

Gets out plenty of filth. Yuck!
We moved into a new to us home 2 years ago and I have been afraid to turn on the jetted tub. With good reason. I’ve run this product as directed (3 times) and you would not believe the filth. Even without the jets I’m not sure I want to put my body in the tub. I’ll do a few more cycles and hope we can get to clean? Yikes! The product is great and I love there’s not a plastic bottle. Just hoping my tub is not beyond help.

Worked great .... what I wish I had known earlier
I purchased a condo that had a Kohler jetted tub that had not been used for some time. I knew not to use bleach to clean it because it dries out the fittings, etc. and found this product on Amazon. I liked the convenience of the pods (first pic). The first treatment produced so much brown sludge and black flakes that I knew I was in for difficult project. Each time it got a little better but I wasn't too happy about the amount of hot water I was running through. After the 8th treatment, I called the customer service line and received a call back from the product founder himself! He explained how the product worked and spent a great deal of time with me. Given how long the tub had been sitting, he suggested that I fill the tub with hot water, throw in 4 pods, let it foam up (watching it closely so that it wouldn't foam over), and then turn off the jets and let it sit overnight. I did that but turned on the jets every 30 minutes or so to push more stuff out before letting it soak overnight. The next day, I ran a final pod through and it came out clean (see video). I give this 5 stars because the product works and because the customer service exceeded my expectations. I left a fan running and left the room while the jets were running to address some of the concerns mentioned in other reviews. I think it makes sense not to breath in any cleaning product for an extended period of time even though the founder assured me it is safe either way. Going forward, I would never recommend using a jetted tub outside of your own home unless you know it has been fully disinfected. The founder said he throws a pod into the water AFTER he takes a bath to make sure the jets stay clean so I plan to do that as well going forward.

SpaKleen jetted tub cleaner
Very easy to use, just put it in your jetted tub while filled with water. Run a full cycle. I was amazed how much it cleaned. It foams quite a bit, and pulls out so much junk. I cleaned my tub in the past with bleach, which is a huge no-no. Frankly the bleach obviously was not cleaning well. Though admittedly this is pricey, after cleaning the first time, it is well worth the price.
