I’ll tell you why I buy Mananalu water. Jason Momoa. What can I say? I like the guy. Aluminum cans. The water comes in aluminum cans, not plastic. Since filtered tap water from our own well isn’t good enough for the husband, he wants individual bottles of water. And he certainly can’t be bothered to use a REUSABLE container. Oh, no! He’s gotta have a FRESH bottle every time. I went in search of water in aluminum cans or glass bottles. Just water. No smarts, no fizz, no sparklings, no barely detectable fruit–just water. Buy local and all that. No bueno. Can’t find any around here that aren’t in plastic, and I’ve looked. I gave up. Lo and behold, Mananalu happened to show up on Amazon! Plastic bottle recycling is practically nonexistent, so since the husband can’t be bothered to use a reusable container, he’s going to pay for aluminum cans of water to be delivered. So I can then haul the empties ten miles to the junkyard and get 25 cents a pound for aluminum (as of this writing). Drink one, remove one. “For every bottle of Mananalu you drink, we remove the equivalent of 1 plastic bottle from ocean-going waste.” I’d believe and trust Momoa over the company who runs the recycling place that’s 30 miles away. I don’t trust them to actually recycle the stuff I’ve hauled up there. It tastes good and is refreshing. It’s delivered to my door. The 12-pack comes packaged in corrugated cardboard–no plastic. I like the bottle. It seems Jason Momoa has started a trend. There are more brands packaging their water in aluminum cans. Now, if the “sports drink” people would only follow suit.

I live in an area impacted by the East Palestine spill so I've been searching for a source of clean drinking water beyond what's available in my local stores (which I typically dislike). A friend suggested Mananalu to me, so I purchased a box to try it and was surprisingly impressed. Each of the 12 bottles arrived in near-perfect condition (one or two had the slightest of superficial indents) without any spillage or damage. Unlike traditional plastic bottles, the metal tins seem to hold in the chill a lot longer (which is especially important for me because I hate warm water). They're also a lot more durable and less prone to spills than plastic bottles, which is something I like given my naturally clumsy nature. I especially like how clean (and clean-tasting) the water is. There's no taste of chemicals or salt like in other waters, which means it tastes even better than my tap water (pre-spill).

I really like this water , the taste is very refreshing and pure like out of a cold mountain stream , the only complaints are it's way to pricey and the cap is really sharp, I cut myself putting it back on , so be careful , another good thing is that it gets cold real quick and stays cold for awhile , otherwise I do like this water , it's very good and quenches your thirst when it's cold

This water is delicious and I am a water snob. However, once opened, the bottle doesn't really stay shut. The aluminum is so thin; you can't get the seal tight and they constantly leak into my purse. I bought these to reuse the bottles, but they're pretty much single use. If they had a better cap situation, they would be perfect. I gave 4 stars but it's really more like 3.5. The price is good and they are lightweight and convenient. Just watch your purses and backpacks.

UPDATE: While I still love the idea of less waste, I dropped one of these and it leaked instantly, soo it's not AS durable as I was hoping... Still nice for long term water storage, in the car or not, but maybe not everyday use if you're a clumsy person... I've always been amazed at how much we waste, and we don't even think twice about it.. Living alone I realized how much I was wasting just by myself; and that was just one me-- not the rest of the world... I actually stumbled into this when I was looking for more sustainable options for storing water long term; and storing water in the car since plastic leeches over time-- especially in heat. I never had any idea that aluminum cans are actually the most sustainable, easiest to clean/recycle, AND they don't leech anything in the heat so they can be stored in hot cars..! (Of course regular reusable bottles are another option, but the drawback for me was they would alway be too bulky to be able to easily fit anywhere, like a normal plastic bottle would..) Even though I didn't mean to find this, I like that Aquaman is the one who made them too..! 🧜🏼‍♂️🌊🔱 (I'm actually reminded of that movie a lot; kind of wishing there was someone in the seas to wash up everything we've ever trashed down there...) Ps, it's also possible to reuse bottles in a family household too, by just putting names/initials on the lids or on the whole bottle, and can even teach your kids to use something more than once- which will help them so much later in life. Both by stimulating and revitalizing a life of sustainability; and also, imagine how much they will save when they're not constantly purchasing more plastic bottles, just to throw them away after one use...

I admit I first tried this water after reading about the eco conscious efforts Mamoa had put into this company and the reasoning behind his beautiful packaging of the product, that being the cans he has put this into. More recently scientific data showing how many tinny particles of plastic they are finding in everything we are consuming from all the trash in the oceans and plastic particles deteriorating even being found in very remote deserts! People fish now have plastic in their bodies and sooner or later this will all find its way into our food systems and US! Right now they claim that plastics are in the plastic water bottles we are consuming! So SAVE the EARTH and enjoy this wonderfully refreshing water without calories, sugar or preservatives just delicious with slightly different flavors available and they are all wonderful!

This water tastes good. I like the convenience of the reusable cans. After being refrigerated overnight, it had an excellent cold, crisp taste to it. The packaging is great. Cardboard box with individual dividers, so the cans arrived in tact and not dented. Highly recommend!

LOVE the water and mission, but the bottles were nearly impossible to open for me. I had to buy a jar opener just to keep in the car if I took one on the road. Consider redesign, please Jason. :) Also price is astronomica for size. Yet I ordered so… LOL
