Smaller than expected, but quite nice!|
These kind of cute. Much smaller than “normal” or traditional shutter button caps, these are well made, non shiny, and come with two small grommets. There are two units per psvkage, one with a convex top, the other is convex. At first I was surprised at the size, have}ing not read the dimensions and merely assuming they were of the usual size. On a camera, however, they are perfect. They do not scream add-on, but rather blend in, looking quite OEM, and still functioning by raising the shutter button surface and giving you a smoother surface to glide across as you press the button. I’m pleased with these little guys. I’ve already installed two, (I bought two packages of 2). I’ll install the other two soon, I am sure. I like these and may well buy a few more.

Stayed On. High Quality.
I bought this for my X-E3 and I just came back from a 10 day trip to France. The one I ordered is in black and came with one concave and one convex soft releases in the box. I used the concave one. It comes with a washer and fits perfectly. It didn't fall off once (I frequently take my camera in an out of the bag and not with utmost care (a couple of times my dials got changed when my camera went in and out of my padded bag). I remembered to check for tightness about 2 times throughout my trip, but I am not sure it did anything as it was never loose. It survived with no noticeable blemishes, cracks etc. I haven't tried other soft releases but I am thinking that if you're looking here, you're looking for something that is simple, works, looks good, stays on, and doesn't start cracking or pealing after first use. For these purposes this is excellent.

First time purchase of this item so took a chance but very satisfied in the end in all respects.
Happy with this purchase and vendor. These two little button caps don't look like much but for some can make a big difference in shutter operation if you have big hands and fingers and a small camera body. There are a million of these for sale on line so you take your chances when ordering for the first time. As it turned out I was very pleasantly surprised that these were not too big around or too small, seemed well made and came with little O-rings to hopefully keep them in place. I prefer the dome over the dish but use both on two similar cameras and I'm pleased with the improvement in shutter control it gives me for not a huge investment. I could not see spending four times as much for one which you can easiiy do that I will probably lose sooner rather than later. I highly recommend this item and vendor. The item was shipped promptly and arrived in just several days. If I am careless it gets lost I would order again from this seller without a doubt.

Just what I was looking for
My Leica Q3 43 is an amazing camera - except for its shutter button. This soft shutter release is a big improvement that allows me to know exactly when the shutter is pressed. No more missed frames, no more multiple duplicates. And of course the color is a nice touch too!

Great! More affordable, more secure, and equally functional to other brands!
These release buttons--listed on Amazon as "(2 Pack) Dark Red Soft Metal Shutter Release Button Brass for Fujifilm Fuji ... Camera 11mm Concave 10mm Convex Surface" and sold by VKO Photography--are the most secure release buttons I've come across yet. Whether you use the concave or convex button, they make it much easier to find the shutter release by feel (without having to remove your eye from the viewfinder or fumble around as much by touch to locate the button). Since they come equipped with little rubber O-rings, these buttons also stay in place far better than any of the other brands I've tried over the years (Neewer, etc.). That's important because most of these screw-in style shutter release buttons are notorious for gradually working their way loose and getting lost. That is why I also recommend that you don't spend much on any such button. Fortunately, at $8, this two-pack is also one of the most affordable options on Amazon ($4 per button), and it gives you the opportunity to decide if the convex or concave button feels or looks better on your particular camera. While I really can't say for sure if they are actually brass as advertised, they do seem plenty durable for their purpose and the glossy painted surface seems to have held up well with no sign of fading or chipping after thousands of shots. The coating isn't as perfectly smooth as some of the slightly more expensive and slightly more nicely machined releases, but they do look nice and right at home on top of my Fuji X-T2 camera. (The concave button looks better with the overall aesthetic of the camera than the convex button does, for some reason. So that's the one I currently use.) Since other brands of buttons did eventually fall off my camera, I've developed a habit of routinely checking the button for tightness. Thus far, I've never found the button to have loosened at all. It seems to stay put nicely, which I attribute to the effectiveness of the O-ring providing additional "friction" to hold the button securely and prevent it from gradually turning and loosening. Based on this experience, I would definitely buy these again if I had need of more. They are more affordable, equally functional, and more secure than similar products I've tried which cost twice as much. [UPDATE 6-29-2017: After extensive use, this shutter release button has never once loosened on my Fuji X-T2 camera. I am genuinely impressed at how well the O-ring and/or design of the threads has managed to keep it in place, as I've used several other brands and never been able to go this long without it becoming loose and, usually, getting lost entirely. I have even stopped checking the tightness obsessively, as after hundreds of checks and a LOT of usage, it just stays in place snugly like it should, no blue locktite or other "hack" required. Hooray! I definitely recommend these as not only the cheapest, but now, the most secure shutter release buttons I've ever tried!]

A beautiful and functional addition to my new XT2!
Perfect. Fits great on my Fujifilm XT2 and looks amazing. Love that it came with both the Convex and Concave versions. They also included a rubber washer to make sure it stays snug on the shutter release button. Feels great when taking pictures, much better than having none at all. It's made well and made out of solid brass. The price is excellent too. I might have to buy some other ones just for fun!

Great style/usability - WAY too easy to lose!
So firstly, I love the size/look/feel of these. It was a surprising improvement to my user experience with the X-T20, and made it easier for others to use the camera when I handed it to them to try. The negative? These things fall off SO EASILY. I tightened it as much as I could and felt comfortable doing, and it fell of 2 or 3 times on my most recent trip. Every time I turned my camera off, it's like it would loosen a little bit and I wouldn't notice. Finally, after getting back from a hike and pulling out the camera again, I realized the button was no longer there. Previously I had been able to find it and put it back on, but considering it fell off during a hike it was gone for good. These were nice for the week or so that I was able to use them, but considering how easily they came off and were lost, I'm not sure I'd buy them again.

A nice add-on to my Fujifilm XT30
I bought these more as a styling accessory than a necessity, but I find the convex shutter button quite comfortable. I feel as if I'm getting less shake when pressing the shutter button. You get a convex and a concave button and each comes with two small rubber rings. I hope that it won't come loose easily. I can't comment on the quality as I've just started using it. I'll update the review in time. Update: I've been using the concave one for several weeks now. I've shot about 400 pictures this weekend alone and the release button feels as tight as it did on the day I screwed it on my camera. In short, I do not experience the loosening of the button as others have mentioned so far. My tip would be to screw it on tightly.

Crap don't buy
1) I lost 1 in about 2 hours. They keep coming off. 2) The buttons look bigger in pictures, they are so tiny that is not even worth adding them to the original release shutter button! Stay away of this crap, buy something better.

Works perfectly on my XE3 and XT2
Much nicer trigger on my Fuji bodies. Can't decide if I like the concave or convex version better, but time will tell I guess. Installed easily, and stays on nicely with the rubber washer and hasn't loosened yet. Comes with a couple extra washers in case you lose one, which is a nice touch. Note: only use it with the washer, otherwise it will loosen easily.

It is what it is and does it well.
Works well on my X-T10. Feels good and make the shutter easier to find and press.
