Ahh-Some Hot Tub/Jetted Bath worked great in our new therapeutic hot tub. We assumed since it was new all we had to do was fill, keep the chemicals right and enjoy. Ours even has an ozone generator so we thought we could keep the chlorine low ........ well we were wrong, after a few weeks the water got cloudy which we cleared up (mostly) with shocking the water but a week or so later one of us broke out in red bumps all over. Some investigation led us to believe the tub water was not safe. Finding this product which had really great reviews we did the treatment drain and fill twice which did produce some brown foamy scum both times which had to be removed from the tub walls by hand and now keep the water chemicals at the suggested levels and watch it carefully. The water remains sparkling clean. ... Turns out that it is likely that all new tubs should be cleaned prior to first use as bacteria and biofilms are likely to grow inside the wet and moist tubes in the time between the factory wet testing and the end users first fill. I would recommend this to anyone with a hot tub/spa. -ww
