This tape worked well on my garden hose. You may need a second layer on larger leaks. BUT no instructions came with it. IMO You need three dexterous hands!! I'm a clutz. It kept sticking to itself!

I've been using this stuff as grip tape for Dance Dance Revolution and StepmaniaX bars, and it works wonderfully. Adheres to the painted metal just fine, and provides a really nice sweat-resistant grip. No adhesive either, so no dealing with sticky residue and it comes off completely clean.

Very good tape....I used it to seal busted ball joints,and tie rods....works great...just make sure to clean the old boots well....

This tape does NOT WORK for hose repair. I read the other reviews that seemed mixed and decided that those saying it didn’t work was most likely due to user error. I can say with no hesitation that this was useless. The tape does in fact adhere to itself very well and did not tear or slip. Unfortunately, because my hose was not made of this same silicone material it did not stick to the hose at all and the water just shot out the ends of the patched area. I wrapped it as tight as I could and layered 5-6 layers of tape and I may as well have done nothing, it started leaking immediately. I think this tape would likely be good if not under pressure.

FUSE is very good to itself better than the original, but but the quality is much thinner than the original when it stretched. Look at the images to see the difference the Original You can't see through the light but the X fasten you do see the light through it

Perfect for heat pipes. In my house for 25 years and one of the heating system pipes sprung a leak. I bought this tape and installed it as per the instructions. I ordered the black as the pipes are black. I had to adjust the tape when installing and there was no residue left on the pipe from where I removed the tape. After installing the tape, I waited for it to adhere to the pipe for a few hours and turned the heating system back on.... NO LEAKS! I even put some on the area where the pipe connection is and this also sealed it up. I finally had a plumber come in to check the pipe out and I was told that this should last for many years. I will probably have the pipes replaced in a few years (due to age) but so far, Everything is running fine! Recommended for anyone.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I like this tape much better than adhesive tapes. Because it has no adhesive it doesn't stick to parts that I'm trying to assemble, only to itself. Comes time to take it apart, no problem, cut the tape and it comes right off with no sticky residue on parts. Very stretchy lengthwise so it can bind like a rubber band. Does not instantly bond to itself. If you don't get it wrapped exactly the way you want, you have maybe 10 seconds to pull it apart and try again. Great for fixing tool handles, wrapping bicycle handlebars, etc. Provides a good grip area on baseball bats, tennis rackets, etc. I like this particular brand because it's clear and reasonably priced.

Used this to fix a hose with a small leak (pinhole) I did learn that you need to do a couple layers but not too many. Also covered it with regular electric tape which seemed to work better. I don't know that I'd use it for a larger hole/leak. Easy to wrap.

Great product. Works perfect. Nice that it is a bit wider than most tapes of this kind.

Great to have around the house. Not the cheapest in this product category, but silicon tape quality seems good and spindle with lid gives proper feel.

I used this tape to make my smart candle bulbs a little more quiet. The idea was to isolate the glass from the shade that is supported by metal wire. I hope they will transfer to any following bulbs but these usually last a lifetime. You just need to make it long enough to cover the area of contact and then stretch the tape to overlap a short distance to make it bond.
