Delicious tea! I have gotten both pu-erh tea types, the earl gray one and the white tea with rose flavor. I’ve tried all but the last one, they all quickly got on my favorites list. I also appreciate that there’s no plastic used in this product.

Got my first order of this Numi Pu-erh tea today. I bought 1 box because of the touted health benefits, figured if I didn't like it, it's only 16 tea bags. I fixed my first cup tonight, poured nearly boiling water over the bag in my cup and let it steep for 5 minutes. At first it was so hot that I could barely taste a hint of chocolate, but I put a tsp of sugar in plus a little cream. And wow. It tasted SO GOOD. The subtle chocolate and orange notes really bloomed. I just kept shaking my head and smiling every time I sipped. I immediately put it on my Subscribe and Save list. It is higher caffeine than the normal tea I drink, so I think I'll have it first thing in the morning instead of at midnight. ha

First impression, good tea. Granted I used one bag in 16 OZ of water. I let it sit a good 8 to 10 minutes. With a little sugar to sweeten it up. Pretty good overall. Tomorrow I will try it again but this time a standard cup. I bought a small box just to test it. I'll update after a few more tests. Update 10/29/25: Had it a few times now. Really good with a little extra sweetness. Great blend. Not what I'd call strong tea, but good enough for a pick me up.

This is a definite step up if you love tea. The aroma when steeping is great, that taste is refreshing and delicious! The caffeine is not strong to me. It relaxed me greatly.

Delicious taste. I add it to black tea. Like caffeine with my tea. Texture is tea. Aroma is delicious. Health benefit would be got what I want t0 satisfy a craving for chocolate. Value meets the need for tea and not to eat chocolate. I've had to buy nibs and other items after I use the teabags. Sustainability practices make it worth every penny. Numi does test for heavy metals. I do not like the taste of cardamom or nutmeg so am glad it is watered down with black tea and I use milk to cool it off to drink.

As someone who absolutely loves coffee, I’ve struggled to find a good substitute when I want something a little easier on my stomach. Chocolate Pu-erh tea has been the best solution I’ve found. It delivers a similar caffeine pick-me-up, but feels much lighter and gentler. I still get that satisfying boost of energy without the heaviness that coffee sometimes brings. What really surprised me is how well it scratches the same itch as coffee. It has a bold, rich character with subtle flavor notes that make it feel just as satisfying to sip. The chocolate undertone adds just enough warmth and depth without being overly sweet or artificial. If you enjoy coffee but want something smoother and easier on the stomach, this tea is absolutely worth trying.

It is a horrible tasting tea. It says chocolate. Just one question. Where is the chocolate taste? It has nothing to do with chocolate nor tea. Very disappointed.
