BlenderBottle SportMixer Tritan Grip Shaker Bottle, Navy/Navy, 28-Ounce

Having been a competitive powerlifter and bodybuilder, I first hopped on the protein shake train some 20 years ago. While my competition days are over, I still maintain the lifestyle and consume at least one protein shake every day. Needless to say, I’ve been through countless shakers, bottles and other gadgets that seemed to function well in some areas, but fail miserably in others. Then I got the BLENDERBOTTLE SPORTMIXER and realized this particular shaker bottle has everything I could have wanted in shaker bottle and more. WHAT IT IS: - 28 oz. contoured bottle made of tritan (copolyester). The screw on drinking lid has a snap on cap. A wire “whisk” ball drops into the bottle to ground/pulverize/mix contents. WHAT MAKES IT SO GOOD: - The shape: The SPORTMIXER is cylindrical and contoured at the top for a better grip. Most of the shaker bottles I’ve used are conical/flared toward the top and don’t allow a solid grip for vigorous shaking (especially when some bottles require a finger or two to keep the cap or top from opening). - The material: Eastman Tritan … an uber-solid alternative to plastic that is extremely durable/strong, clear, lightweight, easy to clean, dishwasher safe and remains odorless. No cheap plastic here … this thing can take a beating. - The lid: the lid securely screws to the bottle and eliminates the worry of leaks/drips. The drinking spout is large. In my opinion, shakes are quick/on-the-fly meals that are generally chugged (even more-so if your protein powder of choice tastes like garbage and you’re in “function over taste” mode). Too many shaker bottles don’t pay attention to such details and offer a spout akin to a sippy-cup or have you drinking from an open cup (likely causing spillage). While we will most likely pour shake contents into the bottle with the lid off, the drinking spout is big enough to accommodate gulping, dropping berries into your shake or adding water from your kitchen sink. - The cap: This is often a much over-looked aspect of shaker bottles, but it is pretty important. Too many times a spout cap opens while shaking a cheap bottle and I’ve developed a habit of putting my fingers over the cap to prevent this from happing. Unfortunately, cheaper shaker bottles have caps that are poorly designed, oddly shaped or don’t allow a secure place to put my fingers. The SPORTMIXER addresses all issues with a cap that not only securely snaps in place, but has a deep recess that actually allows me to hook my finger into it. The cap tilts back far enough to keep it from touching your nose when drinking and incorporates a ring for carrying or hooking to a bag. Functional design. - Rubber: The contoured portion of the bottle’s cylinder has a wide rubber ring for added grip. Even better, the lid has a rubber ring with a knobs for a better grip when twisting the lid on or off the bottle. - One side of the bottle has an easy to read volume scale that shows both oz. and ml. - There are a multitude of color combinations for both the bottle and the cap. The only problem I have with the bottle is that I opted for the black/black version which makes it difficult to see the contents unless you hold the bottle up to the light … no big deal. The SPORTMIXER provides everything I want in shaker bottle. The folks at BlenderBottle didn’t just churn out a shaker bottle, they obviously understand the needs of the market and designed a product that not only meets demands, but is built to last.

Great For mixing pre/post workout drinks and small protein shakes. Bottle looks great, stands out from all the ordinary looking blender bottles. I have noticed a lot of people complaining about the bottle being hard to open which is not the case, it seals very well but i have never had a problem opening it. Another complaint is about the bottle being too dark and having difficulty measuring how much liquid to pour or just actually seeing how much is in it. Again, some people just complain about everything. I always know exactly how much is going in the bottle. It's easy to see from the top while the bottle is open when you're actually pouring the liquid(milk, water, juice, ect..). Another complaint I see is that the flip open cap hits their forehead and this bottle is less practical than the original blender bottle. While this is somewhat true, an easy solution is to just tilt your head back a little bit when you're drinking or just simply turn the bottle sideways so the flip open cap is by your cheek and viola, no problems. This is a great bottle, I currently have 3 of these and two originals. This new bottle is more durable and does not retain any odor like the previous model. It looks awesome as well, don't let some whiny people guide you away from getting a great blender bottle

I own the original Blender bottle and am VERY impressed with that. This bottle shares some of the traits which make that bottle excellent. 1) Good materials: It's made of nice plastic. This sport bottle has a nice rubber grip on it as well as an additional hanging clasp incorporated into the cap lid. It is durable and I'm not worried about breaking it. 2) Great fit: Both Blender products are well-made. The top screws onto the bottle tightly and firmly. There is no danger of the threads breaking or popping. The cap seals the lid tightly and I've never had it leak when I've sealed it properly. You hear a definitive "click" when the cap is secured. 3) Nice looks: This bottle looks nice. I am not really concerned with "fashion" while at the gym, but I do like the black look with the blue accents. 4) Function: The main point is to have a bottle that works, right? Well, the stainless steel wisk mixes up my protein shake mixture (currently 3 separate products) quite well and quickly. I have not used it for anything BUT protein shakes and the like. The only con with respect to this bottle is that the opening is a bit smaller than the basic Blender Bottle. This makes it a little more difficult to pour a full cup of protein powder into it, but it is still big enough to accept it by tilting a bit. Also, the material is very opaque. This is good in that you don't show what is inside the bottle, but I've found it to be a little difficult to tell whether my powder is completely mixed or if I have some sitting in the bottom of the bottle. I love the quality and functionality of this bottle. I usually put in my powders dry and put the bottle in my gym bag, then fill it up at the gym. Works great. Consider me a Blender Bottle customer!

It's kind of hard to recommend a shaker bottle that leaks when it's shaken, and that's exactly what I thought I had with the BlenderBottle SportMixer Tritan Grip Shaker bottle. I like the look and feel of it, and I've had no issues washing it in the dishwasher (top rack), but initially, any time I tried to mix up a shake or drink mix, liquid would come out of the spout, even if I was pressing down on the flip cap to try to prevent it. My problem is that I wasn't actually pressing it hard enough to get the "distinctive snap" that is mentioned in the product write-up. It actually takes a lot more pressure than I would have expected to get that snap, and getting it open with one hand is difficult, but once that's in place, there are no more leaks or spills, no matter how hard it's shaken or if it's turned upside-down. With the lid properly snapped, I've had no leak issues and feel ok throwing it into a duffel bag when necessary. I'm guessing most of the leak issues others are having stem from the same place mine did: basically trying to use it without it being properly closed. The Tritan Grip shaker bottle also fits in most of car cup holders I've tried it with, which is another plus (quick breakfast on the go...). It blends shakes evenly and the rubberized grip is a nice touch. This is a good blender bottle, especially for the price, as long as you make sure you get that snap before using it.

I initially bought this for it's intended purpose--blending smoothies on the go. I have yet to use it for that, but do use it almost daily as a water bottle. I'm pretty picky about water bottles, and I love this. I think it's better than the Nalgene grip-n-go, and better than the Camelbak eddy. I haven't tried the Camelbak chute, but based on the reviews, I think this is a better pick. This has all the features I want, whereas the other two options don't have the whole package. What this has/does: Fits in car cupholders (2012 VW and 2014 Subaru) Has markings for oz/ml that are clear and easy to read Easy one hand operation If you hear it "click" you know it's closed, and it does not leak The lid is connected, so you won't lose it, but stays out of the way while you drink Has the handy loop to carry in the crook of your finger or attach to your bag with a carabiner Large 26 oz/.75L capacity Easy to drink from spout--big enough to gulp during spin class, but not so big you get stuff all over yourself while driving So far, durable. I've dropped it a few times, and it's fine Did I mention it's giant capacity, yet it still fits in the cupholders? Because that is key. I'm sure it also is fantastic for blending stuff, but if you want a water bottle that is practically perfect in every way, this thing is your Mary Poppins.

I had this exact type of bottle for about a year before it finally gave out on me because my GF dropped a 45lb plate on the bottom of it which cracked it. I love this bottle, in fact I love it so much that I bought it again. This is supposed to be a sportsmixer bottle however I do not use it as a mixer, I use it as my water bottle for everything (gym, work, out and about). The main reason I don't use this as a "mixer" is because the opening uptop is too narrow for my liking. I can't fit my hand inside to clean the protein mess up and I can barely stick the "soap stick sponge" in it too. I guess if you had one of those bristle brushes or if you used the dishwaher you could clean it that way but that's too much effort for me because I'm sponge type of man. When this bottle is closed you can stay reassured that it will stay close which is what I like and it can take a beating. I have thrown, slammed, beat, kicked this bottle in so many ways that every time I do I usually tell myself that it has to be broken now but I go to pick it up and sure enough it's alive and kicking. Also, I know it looks weird and it looks like the bottle would constantly open up by accident if you hanged the bottle from the sports ring on the lid but it actually stays closed all the time. They obviously did some research here and hanging it by that sports loop actually forces the bottle to stay closed. CONS: Absolutely NONE. After about a year of constant daily use the only thing I had a complaint about was the black rubber grip which started to get "bloated/loose/stretchy" from everyday use but that's just what rubber does so you can't really ding them on that department.The lid and the top/closing mechanism continues to function properly and just as good even after a year of use.

Definitely a 5 star product. First off, the price is really good on Amazon and shipped fast. I always use cheap bottle of waters to take water to school but they always fall out of my bookbag and they are bad for the environment. I bought this to not only replace that, but to replace my old workout bottle. This is great, it's wide, so when I put it in the bottle pouch of my bookbag, it stays there. The blender balls is nice. The lid snaps shut and stays shut. It is just a really well designed bottle. Rubber around the lid to make it really easy to open, a hook, a grip, ounce and mL markings. The best part, is that it uses a type of plastic that's impact resistant and doesn't absorb in odors from the protein drinks. Make sure you hear the lid snap. Just get in the habit of always tapping it close and hearing that snap or else your next blend could be messy. I got a black one with red letters and cap. The black makes it hard to see how much you filled it. All and all, it's a great product. If I lose or break this, I will definitely get another one.

This is the best blender bottle and water bottle I've ever owned. I've had a few very popular ones in my lifetime. Some had screw-in bottom compartments that I never used. I'm writing this review because I've decided to buy a second 28 oz bottle-- one for water and one for mixing. I washed it well before use and have never experience any plastic aftertaste (not with water or anything else, even after leaving it in the car). I've left milk in it for days and it was easy to remove any odors from the bottle with simple hand washing. The bottle is hard and sturdy. I've dropped it from reasonable heights (head height and off desks several times) and never had it break or even spill the liquid inside. I could place it in the bottom of a bag and not worry at all about it breaking. The top still works a year later--very good construction, and a great seal that has never leaked or came open accidentally. The only thing that I could foresee people complaining about is that it's hard to fit their giant sausage fingers into. Honestly, this is not a problem for me because nothing seems to get stuck on the inside of the bottle and it's very easy to clean with just adding soap and water and shaking it up.

いつも筋力トレーニング時にはプロテインドリンクが欠かせないので、コレにはお世話になっています。1回のトレーニングに丁度よいサイズの物を探していて、コレに出会いました。以前使ったことのある物の中には、思いっ切りシェイクすると吹きこぼれる物もありましたが、コレは蓋や飲み口もしっかりしており、吹きこぼれません。泡立ちの多いプロテインを満タンまで入れている場合も、泡立ちが収まってから飲み口を開ければ飛び出しません。また、ボールがしっかりシェイクしてくれるので、プロテインを多めに入れたり、溶けにくいプロテインの時にもよく混ざります。粉を長時間持ち歩いて、夜のトレーニング開始時に水と混ぜる時は、水を入れる前に一度粉だけでよくシェイクしてサラサラにするのがダマにならないポイントです。高品質であり、デザイン的にも気に入っています。
