How thick is this cording?

I don't have the measurement but it is as thick as the original. I hope this w helps

What foes "fix it" and "wrap it up" mean

It appears to be a translation issue. There is no "fixing" of a buckle with these cords. There is a barb at each end to secure through the grommets on your fabric. Wrap it up may refer to winding the excess cord before engaging the barb. In my case there was no extra cord to have to wind up.
