Does this crib have a higher mattress setting for infants? Or is it just the single setting lower to the ground?

It has 3 lower settings. I'm 5'6"... I didn't have any problems with the height. I bought this crib almost two years ago... I'm still in love with it!

Is this crib easy for a short mom to pick up baby? I'm 5'2".

I think so. I am 5'4" and I find it very easy to pick up and lay down my son. It's not a very high crib (legs are shorter than other models we looked at) which is nice. Definitely makes it more contemporary and added benefit is the ease of reaching in without feeling like you'll drop the baby in, or fall in yourself!. hope this helps!

This crib seems very short at 35" compared to most standard cribs that come to about 42-45". Has anyone had any issues with how short it is?

Agree that this crib is short. My babe has had to have it on the lowest level since she’s been able to stand. She’s always been quite tall but she can’t be the only one. At 15 months and almost 35 inches tall, she can no longer use crib bc she can easily fall out it by leaning over or easily lifting a leg to climb. Wish I had noticed the height before purchasing. We’d like to keep her in crib closer to 3 yrs old but it’s absolutely impossible with this crib. Waste of money and wish I could return.
