immi Black Garlic “Chicken” Ramen – Bold Flavor, Chewier Noodles & High Protein – Vegan, Keto-Friendly Ramen Noodles – Low Carb, Zero Sugar – Healthy Plant-Based Ramen Bowl, 6-Pack

I was really hesitant to try this. It sounded amazing in theory...but I just wasn't sure. I'm especially leery of things that "take off" on social media as I find opinions on popular items tend to mimic what the majority are saying and I'm usually one of the voices of dissention on insanely popular products. Also, I tend to get bent out of shape about excessively pricey things...like $6 Ramen LOL. But I honestly liked this. Now, I'm not going to claim the experience was like in that ramen restaurant back in Japan (that's just dramatic), but for what it is...I think it is quite good. If you like whole wheat flavors and textures (things where you can candidly "taste" the fiber), I do not think you'd find these noodles very off putting at all. I'm a "don't leave a whole box of Triscuits next to me because they are going down!!!" kind of girl. While my husband is more of a "darling if you want to nibble on wood, we've got some out back and you really needn't pay for the privilege" kind of guy...and these are not quite his jam. Now if you like it smooth...you only eat white bread, white pasta...you're going to HATE this very much so save your $6/bag. But if a fibery texture does not typically bother you, you just might like this. I ate them plain...I did boil for 15 minutes like many have suggested then I just added the broth and ate it and I was fine. If you jazz it up with add-ins and extra flavors, I think it'd be really nice. So while it probably is not for everyone, I think it is worth a try to find out if it's for you, if you're curious! If this price ever comes down, it would be a welcome and frequent addition to my grocery cart.

I loved these noodles because they were delicious and Keto-friendly (about 5-6 carbs per serving). However, Immi recently (and very quietly) changed the formulation and now there are around 17 NET carbs per serving. I notice no difference in taste. Still good but overpriced at that net carb content, in my opinion.

I’m not a traditional ramen eater. That stuff goes right to my rear end. If you’re looking for traditional ramen and judging this based on that, you’ll be disappointed. What I was looking for was something high protein and easy to prepare that could help me sustain my 45 pound weight loss. I found it! For me, it needs help with the taste. The texture is weird. I added two soft boiled eggs, some red miso paste, and real chicken pieces. Now it’s delicious! It’s also very filling. Im going to increase the frequency of my auto ship to every two weeks and add shrimp.

I bought some, brought in by the promise of "6g net carbs", as I am trying to go low-carb with my diet. Unfortunately, claiming "net carbs" by subtracting the carbs of dietary fiber is still a food industry marketing tactic that has fuzzy science behind it (Look up "net carbs" on the WebMD website). It doesn't matter if the carbs in a serving of IMMI ramen are lower than normal ramen. The calories per serving are the same (310 for IMMI, 320 for regular ramen). So IMMI Ramen is not a license to eat ramen. If you don't exercise and burn off those 310 calories, the effects would be the same as if you ate the regular ramen. I'll give props to IMMI for the attempt. It wasn't bad. But the texture was not the same, and the bite wasn't the same as normal ramen. It was a little gritty compared to regular ramen. For my money, if I'm going to expend my carbs and calorie budget in something, then I want it all. I might as well just enjoy real ramen once in a blue moon, than settle for ramen that doesn't really satisfy my ramen experience and leaves me a little disappointed.

So these noodles are very good. I cook mine longer...about 12 minutes and I add some meat. So far, I've added chicken (I used canned because that's all I had, but any chicken would be fine, rotisserie would be perfect!) and I just made some spicy beef with some chopped up leftover meatloaf!!! It was awesome! Also, the flavor packets aren't very good. I've had 3-4 flavors, and I'm not picky, but they're just not that good. Plus the sodium. I've been using about half of the packet. Here's my formula! 2 cups of water, boil, add noodles - set timer for 12 minutes. After about 2-3 minutes when the noodles are soft, I add a twist or two of salt, some garlic paste and chopped onion. Cook that for another 2-4 minutes. Then I'll add about 1/3 of the meat that I have set aside (chicken, beef, whatever) and cook that until there's about 2 minutes left. Then add the rest of the meat, dusting of black pepper, dusting of garlic powder and mix it around for the final minutes. When the timer goes off, add about 1/2 of the flavor packet along with a drizzle of sesame oil and srirachi to taste (if a kick is desired). It comes out really, REALLY good. Next I'm gonna play with adding some extra veggies along with the onion, garlic and salt. Cabbage, carrots and maybe some chopped broccoli would add some texture and nutrition!! Long story short, these are good and easy to customize but the flavor packets need some work. The sodium is still higher than I'd like. Partner with Dan-O's for some low sodium options!! They aren't cheap but you get what you pay for. For a quick and easy dinner option that your kids will love, these are tasty and fun.

SEVERE GI and stomach pain caused me to eventually be hospitalized after eating this product for the first time. Ate ramen around 930pm and by 10pm began to feel increasing gas pain. By 11pm I had rolling waves of SEVERE gas pains in my stomache. It felt like my stomache was a balloon and someone was using a bike pump to super over inflate it. Felt like I had to poop or fart and could not. Burped a lot. By the time I worked up the courage to induce vomiting all I got was the taste of their seasoning. Pain got so bad by 6am the next day I begged my mom to take me to the emergency room. Even IV morphine wasn't enough to dull the pain. Cat scans showed no blockage, they ran a bunch of other tests while I was alternating crying and moaning in pain. Unable to find a medical reason they decided I had some kind of horrible reaction to whatever I had eaten recently. Since I had just come back from a vacation and was trying to take it easy I had only had this "healthy" ramen for dinner. I'm going to see a GI specialist next week and hope to have an update. Ramen was easy to cook and tasted great. However, when I broke my ACL and tore my knee I walked home on it. That hurt. THIS PAIN was like nothing I have ever dealt with and the fact that it was continuous and non stop made me consider jumping off my roof.

I recently tried a health-conscious alternative to traditional ramen noodles, and while I was prepared to overlook some sacrifices in taste and texture, I couldn't ignore the hefty price tag that came with this product. Here's my take on it: Taste and Texture (2/5): Let's address the elephant in the room - the taste and texture. As someone who's willing to compromise on these aspects for the sake of a healthier choice, I was still underwhelmed. The flavor was disappointingly bland, and the noodles lacked the satisfying chewiness of traditional ramen. It felt like I was eating a diet-friendly imposter rather than a satisfying meal. Nutritional Value (5/5): On the plus side, this healthy ramen alternative does offer impressive nutritional value. Price (1/5): The biggest obstacle for this product is its exorbitant price point. At $6.50 per serving, it's difficult to justify the cost, especially when you can find traditional ramen alternatives priced under $1.00. A 600% price increase compared to the competition is hard to swallow, even for health-conscious consumers. Size and Packaging (3/5): It would be more reasonable to expect a larger serving size or more generous portion because of the high price. Recommendation: To improve this product's appeal, I strongly recommend that the manufacturer offer single packets for consumers to try before committing to a bulk purchase. This would allow potential customers to gauge whether the substantial price is justified by the taste and nutritional benefits. I spent $39 for a pack of 6 and feel like I was swindled. In conclusion, while I applaud the effort to provide a healthier alternative to traditional ramen noodles, the prohibitive price point is a significant hurdle that this product needs to overcome. Unless you're willing to overlook the taste and texture for the sake of health, I'd advise exploring other options or waiting for potential price adjustments in the future.

I was diagnosed with diabetes last year and was so sad that I couldn’t eat ramen anymore. I lived in Korea for a while in my 20s so it became a go to cozy comfort meal for me. These absolutely HIT THE SPOT if you modify! I know they are pricey, but you can get a big bowl of soup for a family with a packet of these and buying the rest of the add ins from Aldi. It rly isn’t any different from making any other meal when you consider how much you spend per pound of meat. I tend to start by chopping an onion and boiling it in water with the season packets and boullion or season to taste. Add the noodles, sometimes add pesto or basil, bring to a boil. Then I add veg. We do spinach, bok choy, mushrooms, bean sprouts, all different varieties. Then I add a protein. I’ve done sausage, pork, meatballs, steak, spam, or hotdogs lol. This is truly a fridge clean out meal. By the time the meat has cooked, the noodles have been boiling for like 20-30 minutes but they’re never mushy. They’re just right. And you have a delicious soup packed with veggies and protein that isn’t going to spike blood sugar. When I’m eating alone, I also add fly by jing chili crisp for an extra kick. But I’d say these noodles have been PERFECT for someone like me, who loves loves loves ramen and can’t eat it in excess anymore due to medical reasons. I highly recommend if you try, you supplement and turn it into a meal! I know it’s not the purpose of instant ramen, but I promise a little more time in the kitchen and you can have ramen that isn’t gonna make you feel yucky. Peace and love to y’all ☺️
