Where is the user manual? I tried to record using default settings out of the box and the result is normal speed video with intervals. not timelapse

The user Manuel was in the box with mine. Can't answer anything else. You can also go to Utube. There are different videos.

What kind of battery do I need to buy?

Dear N.C: Our time-lapse camera requires you to prepare 12 AA alkaline batteries. If you want to buy a power adapter, its model is 6V, 1.0A. The sufficient power of 12 alkaline batteries can make the time-lapse camera use for 6 months. If you just want the time-lapse camera to operate normally in a short period of time, 4 brand new alkaline batteries can turn on our machine. How long will the camera last if set to take a pic every 5 seconds with a full set of batteries?

The realistic answer to this it depends. With really good batteries it will go for a week set at the interval of 5 second. The 6 month life has to be when you take 1 picture per day, because we have not been able to get more than a couple weeks off life out of ours. We set the target time to only record during the day. You will get more time when it's warm and significantly less time when it's cold.
