What are total ingredients?

amount per serving % DV .................................................................................................................................................................... L arginine 400 mg L arginine AKG 400 mg L citruline 200 mg L citruline Malate Extract 200 mg Beta Alanine 80 mg Nlacin 30 mg 150% Calcium ( as calcium carb.) 30 mg 3%

Is this the hcl type of l-arginine?

I don't see any Hydrogen Chloride on the label

is this the same as l-arginine aspartate?

No, it's an entirely different product and formulation. The combo of arginine and citrulline is thought to be more effective and efficient in producing nitric oxide in the body. No form of Arginine is good at that by itself, while citrulline, either combined with malate (malic acid) or not, is definitely effective (converted in the kidneys to NO). Some studies suggest combining the two enhance the effects of both. I like this formula even though AKG is not directly involved in NO synthesis, but like malic acid can give you more energy. My only concern is, is it cost effective because you really want to ingest about 6 grams of citrulline a day for NO production, especially if you are a man north of 50. Citrulline Malate in a 2:1 ration means in every 3G, you get 2 citrullines and 1 malate. Not a bad thing, but if its the pure NO boost you seek, you need to make sure your getting your bang for buck.

Really well thought through formula

I think Bradeson really thought through this product and it is very intelligently formulated. I take it for the NO enhancement. There are a lot of formulas out there that just won't work; there is enough science out there that tells us what does, although individual results vary. I really like this product. Reasonably priced for what you get too. They did not ask for this review, I'm just sharing my experience.

Great product / Good price

I prefer liquid L-arginine, however Bradeson Naturals turned out to be a nice surprise. I take it before my workouts ; It work really well. Will order it again. Two thumbs up!

I went to look in the mirror and it looked like I had a first degree sunburn

I recently purchased and tried L-arginine complex. The instructions say to take two capsule once a day. I wisely started with only one. I did not notice anything. the second day I again only took 1 capsule. within 15 minutes I felt my face burning and itching. I went to look in the mirror and it looked like I had a first degree sunburn, within a few minutes I started to feel this burning sensation on my arms, my legs and torso. My skin felt like it was on fire. It appeared like a first degree sunburn and then my skin on my face and body started to get bumpy. I looked up adverse reactions to arginine and found that it can produce skin rash, and anaphylaxis shock. I feel lucky that my reaction did not go further than the sensation of my skin burning and turning bright red. The experience lasted about an hour and then subsided. Needless to say, I threw the bottle of pills away.PLEASE do not take these if you are healthy and your body is already making this amino acid.. YOU DON'T NEED IT
