Air fry everything
I am an unabashed fan of Meredith Laurence. I have almost all of her pressure cooker cookbooks, so when I got the air fryer I turned to an author I trust to help me get the most out of the AF. She didn't disappoint. I bought Air fryer genius and Air Fry everything, and have been so happy with the recipes.Recipes are laid out by ingredient, then directions, accompanied by wonderful pictures. Most recipes either have smart tips or did you know tips.I've been trying to make crispy chickpeas for ages, they never seemed to work in the oven. but with the recipe in AF everything I have spicy crispy chickpeas, so yummy.I'm not the biggest fan of the pickle craze, fried pickles, yuck. However, there is always that brine leftover that seems a waste. The pickle brined fried chicken is amazing. It's tender, it's slightly acidic, in a good way, from the brine but not overly salty or pickle forward. and the crispy result is so tasty. If you don't have pickle brine leftover she even gives you a quick and easy brine recipe.`Mini hasselback potatoes are super easy to make and those crispy outer edges plus the creamy potato insides are a great side. One recipe I maker so much I is the roasted `garlic and thyme tomatoes. They are so delicious. I can eat those every single day. And then I can toss them on a bit of pasta or pizza. they are delicious.Dessert isn't ignored either. The glazed cherry turnovers, using frozen puff pastry, are delicious and a real treat.

Good basic cookbook for small 3.7 qt air fryers!
I just received a small 3.7 qt Air Fryer as a gift. I would not have purchased one for myself as I did not think it would be something I would use much as I do not fry anything anyway. It actually has been more useful to me than I anticipated. I had downloaded a couple of Kindle air fryer cookbooks, but they were not really useful for the small round type of air fryer that I have. I normally do not buy cookbooks as I rarely follow a recipe completely. I am blessed to be a fairly good cook that does not have to rely on cookbooks unless baking something that requires a recipe with accurate measurements. I checked this book out from my local library prior to purchasing it so I could determine if the book would be useful to me. It is a fairly basic cookbook with recipes that are not difficult. I will modify some recipes to suit my personal preferences (make my own bread dough versus purchased dough), but the recipes are actually designed for my type of air fryer. I can use the book as a basis for developing other recipes also. I felt that the book was useful enough that it was worth purchasing a copy for myself. The majority of the recipes show a picture. There are no nutritional values for most of the recipes. Most of the recipes are healthier versions of normally fried foods except for the dessert section of course. The recipes do not require a lot of strange or unusual ingredients. Most of the ingredients would normally be found in a well stocked pantry.

great assortment of recipes, might be best for larger air fryer
A lot of recipes contained in this book. There are pictures for most every recipe. I have not made many, but they all look delicious. We have a large air fryer- not the basket kind, but the kind that is about the size of a large crock put with a lid. We found that we can do more reasonable sized batches in less time, then having to put tiny portions in with multiple batches. Anyway, this book and my fryer go well together. I don't think I would be ambitious enough to make most of these in a smaller fryer, so for that this book may be limiting.I bought this book because I wanted to do more with my convection air fryer than just for hotdogs, chicken wings, and french fries. It produces less heat into my kitchen than my gas stove, so I want to be able to do more cooking in the summer- otherwise my house heats up too much. I don't know what to make in it, so I needed ideas to help me out. So this recipe book definitely has given me a slew of yummy ideas. The book is nicely organized. The first 20 pages are an introduction with some tips, etc. The next sections are divided into food category.1. Snacks and Appetizers2. Breads and Breakfast3. Steak and Burgers4. Pork and Lamb5. Chicken and Poultry6. Fish and Seafood7. Vegetarian Main Dishes8. Vegetables9. Desserts10. A little MoreRecipe pages include information such as,How many people it servesTemperature for cookingCooking time,IngredientsdirectionsCalories, carb, fiber, fat, sugar, proteinAlso, little information tidbits, "did you know" ,"smart tips", "dress it up" etcRecipes have stamps letting you know if they are gluten free, super easy, vegetarian,

Great book, Useful and Yummy recipes
Because I'm a gadget person I bought an air fryer. After all what is not to love about that whole concept? Fried food, less oil? Easy, small batches on command? Love it. But then i started hearing from my friend how she does this and that and the other in her air fryer. I found this cookbook.Every picture in this cookbook looks realistic, although, of course, plated so perfectly. They added to the recipe and helped us know what we to anticipate when something 'looked done'. The pictures were bright and colorful. Most, if not all of the recipes, were easy to follow and required very minimal extra work. Most of the recipes, if not all, required ingredients we had on hand so it was easy to get the cookbook one day and start making something that night in the air fryer. The directions were clear and easy to understand and the recipes we have tried so far have turned out lovely. The best part of this book though was the first 15 or so pages where the author spent some time talking about how they work, hints and techniques, etc. That was a huge help.I'd buy this book again and I'd suggest it to my friends how buy and air fryer.

YUMMY - Very impressed with this book!!
I had no familiarity with the author, so I hesitated to make this purchase. But boy, am I glad I did! I am an avid cook and foodie, and totally impressed!Fantastic book, with lots of simple to more complex, interesting recipes. Why by a cook book if you don't want to stretch your horizons and try new ingredients? To me that's the point of a good cook book. I can make the simple stuff without recipes, so for me a cook book is a venue for new ideas I might not have though of on my own. That said, nothing is so tricky that anyone should be intimidated. Just follow the directions!Well-written, well-organized, lots of basics about air frying if you are new to it, as I was. Great photographs as well. Not every recipe, but many. The cooking chart at the end is very helpful and covers all the basics.All-round great book!

Thought this looked great, until I tried to cook something from this...:(
I bought this due to the raves and seeing Meredith on QVC. She seems to know her stuff. Or is she like Mr. QVC, David Venable, and more of a gifted sales woman..?This arrived and I perused the book. So many tips and wonderful looking recipes, I almost immediately came to rate this 5-stars. I am glad I held off until trying to make something from it.I am new to air frying, but I have a lot of kitchen and cooking knowledge. I bought this because it seemed like a good beginner's guide to air frying, with some nice basic (but not too boring) recipes. This arrived and first of all, half of the book is dog--eared. No issue about that, but wanted to mention it. Then I decided to try the Philly Chicken Cheesesteak, on page 135. I am so glad that I read through the recipe before actually creating it. First of all, I found the instructions seemed a little confusing (says to use partially frozen chicken, for one; "partially frozen"..really..??? how can one tell what is "partially frozen"..???), so I looked to see if Meredith had a video for this one. I found her and David Venable (Mr. QVC) had a video that I found on pinterest of them making this. LONG STORY SHORT, I highly recommend watching that video if you intend to make the chicken cheesesteak stromboli in this book, as the instructions in the book are not very good. The instructions look fine at first in print, until you go to make the thing. Now, the main issue I had was that this recipe required a 12 QUART AIR FRYER!!! I did not realize this until I watched that video (although I admit, I thought the recipe seemed 'too much' for my 3.2 quart air fryer, or even the larger 5 quart air fryers). I found it laughable that her and Venable said that all the recipes in this book could be made in a 3 quart air fryer, yet there they were, using a mammoth 12 quart air fryer. Now, I have not really checked any of the other recipes to see if they can indeed "all be made in a 3 quart air fryer". But sadly, the first recipe I decided to try, no.The recipes all "look good" in the book, but this makes me wonder about the accuracy and how well they might turn out.Meredith Laurence seems to know her stuff, I have watched her many times, and she is an excellent teacher. So I had high hopes for this book. But so far, I am thinking..who edited this book..? But then Meredith has a video with Venable that shows a recipe that is not possible for smaller air fryers. I don't know about you, but I don't know many people with 12-quart air fryers.I would not have been so disappointed, had there been a note in the recipes, stating that the recipe was made using a 12 quart air fryer. It is even mentioned in the introduction of the book that all the recipes were created using various 3 quart air fryers (page 6).So far, while the recipes look promising, the first one out of the gate, is a fail. If someone did not see the video or was able to make an educated guess, the recipe likely would have been a disaster. Oh and my sliced onion also slightly burned and I did not even cook it as long as suggested (said to slice onion into shoestring slices on the video). I ended up having to bake the stromboli in the oven bc there was no way it would fit appropriately in my 3.2 air fryer.A good book with possible potential, so I am not giving up. With all of the raves, I still have hope. I will make a couple other recipes and come back and update. But so far, out of the gate..not impressed.

Fun Recipes
There are so many recipes we cannot wait to try. There is no shortage of options. Unlike other recipe books, you will want to make these again and again.

Simple recipes, basic ingredients, LOTS of helpful information
I've been looking for the 'right' air fryer cookbook for a while, and am so absolutely thrilled with this one. In the front of the book is some excellent information about air fryers in general, plus conversion charts. The recipes are well organized, have lots of excellent color photos for each, and use ingredients that I usually already have in my cupboard -- and not a ton of ingredients either. Well written and easy to follow instructions. Plus, most pages have added "tips" or labels as Super Fast or Easy. Really the perfect air fryer cookbook for the average home food preparer !

WHAT NO METRIC !!!!!!!
Excellent recipes. Use the book often, my only gripe and for me it's a big one. No metric weights or temperatures. If you can't convert American cup and spoon sizes this is not for you. This is an excellent cook book, opens up a whole new air frying world. Let down badly for the metric half of the world.

Disappointed
No gourmet recipes. Very disappointed. These are basic daily American recipes. I was hoping something better from a chef who has been trained in French cuisine.
