Wonderful
The scent is amazing. Purchased to make cookies and it worked out about as well as I could expect from an experimental recipe.

Sooooooo worth it!!!!
I somehow expected the flavor of this to be stronger than it is, but it doesn't matter so much to me because I can just use more of it and it all works out just fine. It's extremely hard to find anise seed powder/ground anise seeds, so I was really excited to find this! (Especially since anise seeds are my favorite spice!!!) The price I paid was also extremely reasonable for 6 ounces and once I'm out, I plan on buying this again.

May be OK for cooking, but not for baking.
If I had to guess, I would say this is not ground ANISE SEEDS but ground ANISE (i.e. branches and everything). The powder has no sweetness to it whatsoever (ground anise seeds are always sweet). Smell is more like licorice than anise. Savor is not bad, but it doesn't taste like ground anise seeds.Might be OK for cooking, but definitely not for baking.
